http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/264328.html

Does not indicate why Kovalev would be out.

What's wrong with Kovy? Upper or lower? Inner or outer?

Could kovalev recurrent knee problem have come back ? That could explain his slower skating ?

D'Agostini called up

http://canadiens.nhl.com/team/app/?s...ticleid=394808

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday night that forward Matt D’Agostini has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. He will join the team on Friday morning, and will attend the club’s practice at Verizon Center in Washington.

D’Agostini, 22, leads the Bulldogs in scoring, and ranks third in the AHL with 25 points in 20 games (14 goals, 11 assists). He leads the club in goals (14), powerplay goals (5) and shots on goal (64). He also served 16 penalty minutes.

D’Agostini (6-foot, 200 pounds), a right winger from Sault-Ste-Marie, Ontario was selected in the sixth round by the Canadiens, 190th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He played his first NHL game with the Canadiens during the 2007-08 season.

Get a feelin' that he'll be on a line with Dandenault and Begin or sumpin.

Will be nice to see what he can do. Pretty big kid, I always thought he was small for some reason.

Can you please, for the love of all that is holy, STFO

You don't bring anything insightfull or significant to the threads with those useless hating comments. The guy is one of our leading scorers, led to two, almost three goals last night. But still is a piece of crap ?

How quickly they forget...
Kovalev has probably been playing injured for a very very long time and still he's only 2points behind Tanguay.

Well, it will make tomorrow nights game interesting, maybe not in the win/loss column. I wonder what the lines will look like. Lats and Higgins both wont be good on Saku's right, so maybe he'll get a chance.

Higgins/Koivu/?????
Sergei/Pleks/Andrei
Lats/Lang/ Kostop
Begin/Lapierre/Dandenault

Maybe Kostop plays with Koivu and Laraque is put back in? If Laraque's still sore, maybe Dago might get a shot. I'm just trying to think like Carbo, don't shoot me.

He's not overly big at 6" 200lbs but he plays bigger. Whatched a few Bulldogs games and he likes to drive to net and has good speed and acceleration. He plays like I wish Latendresse would. If Guillaume can ever develop his skating and a sense to drive to the net he'll be lethal as he has very good hockey sense and a heavy shot.

Imagine having these two lines in the near future

D'Agostini Maxwell Paccioretti
A Kostitsyn Plekanec S. Kostitsyn

The way those two guys have been playing lately, it wouldn't be a bad thing.
