I'd like them to fix the automatic delay of game penalty. In the final minutes of a 1 goal game or even worse, game 7 OT, I don't want to see the game decided bc of a rolling puck. Refs are allowed to use their discretion for all other calls, let them decide not to make that call if it clearly wasnt the intent... Only in the final 5 min and OT? All game, either way...

booooooooo, really wanted that to be changed. would help the nhl police itself better. but i guess mr.bettman is afraid some1 might try to make cindy "dive" to look for some missing teeth

Ever since the major crackdown on obstruction calls, there has been an anecdotal uptick in phantom penalties. Expiring penalties are an important notion to limit the damage bad calls can do.

The system is good as it is currently situated. Major penalties let you score as many times as possible (and are FAR less debatable in nature).
