Just to toss a name out there..

It looks like the Leafs will buy out Darcy Tucker--

Tucker is at 3mill a year--he is a good two way FW--scores between 15-20ish goal a year--he is signed for 3 more years

would you offer a prospect that is off the radar from the Oilers to get this guy in the lineup

or say trade Raffi to leafs for Tucker plus a pick

He might look good up front on the powerplay with Gagner and Hemsky, but unfortunately he isn't much use to us anywhere else.

I definately wouldn't trade for him, but if he was bought out and we could get him for less than the $3M he's making now.

****** no. He's not a good two way player and he lives and dies by the PP. Torres can play at ES. Tucker can't.

Tucker is brutal. He is breaking down and has become inneffective. On top of that he is a spaz. There is probably no player I would rather not having in the league.

I wouldn't mind Tucker and I'm sure he'd have no problem heading out west. He'd certainly add some more grit into the line-up, which is something Lowe's been suggesting he's looking for. If we can't sign Glencross, Tucker could fill a similar role. I'm sure he could be had for less than what he's making now, but if the Leafs are going to buy him out, why do we need to give up anyone to acquire him?

If he's bought out, and is willing to sign for 1.5M or less, sure.

We have enough ~15-20 goal scorers as is, and cheaper to boot
