Tootoo to Montreal

Lets leave this for debate, lets say your the GM, and Nashville proposes a deal:

Tootoo

for

Hossa

Nashville wants the scoring, and help in Milwaukee. Hossa is a potential star which is the missing ingredient. He is also another European player, who would fit in nicely to their very European team. On top of that they like his size.

Tootoo Begin Ward (Thats all I got to say)

Do you guys take it?? Refuse it??Why??

I got the idea from here:

I'd seriously consider it, but Tootoo is a fourth liner, third tops and he's not exactly the kinda size we need. 5 more inches and I'd say yes but we already have Begin and normally you dont trade top 6 potential for agitators unless your the Avs. I would work on a deal revolving around that though.

Refuse. Hossa isn't a lost cause yet. We can get more than a small fourth-liner for him, anyway.

no doubt i would take it, think of the sales, his popularity.

As for being warned, I clearly say if it was proposed.

No way we give Hossa for Tootoo . We don't need him , plus Johnny V would kill us with his ''midget'' thing

Read your title when you're on the Canadien's board.

Tootoo to Montreal is a title as if he would have been traded.

Of course, I knew that it wasn't the case because the title would have had a lot of !!!!!!!!

I would seriously consider it, Tootoo brings the kind of energy that our habs do not have. I don't necessarily have a problem with giving up Hossa for him, but I'm not sure Tootoo has a great upside, and he is a little small, thus does not fit our needs. After much thought, I think I would do this one.

Remember when Nashville came to the Bell Centre earlier this year. The fans were going nuts for Tootoo. I remember seeing some people behind the Habs bench wearing Habs' white vintage sweaters with TOOTOO 22 on the back.

Definitely...this is going to have to be a must, especially as we approach the trade deadline.

You want to make a proposal, fine...just make sure its clear to everyone that its a proposal and not an actual trade.

I`d like to make that deal. Tootoo is a very good energy player who hits everything in sight. And like a few others said the fans just love him. He`d be good for the team. I`d hate to give up on Hossa but he is frustrating the hell out of me. The guys got loads of talent but can`t seem to put it all together.

No way.

Hossa, very good chance at 2nd line in 1-2 years, way too much upside.

TooToo is a novelty.

no offense to the people picking Hossa, but you know Tootoo is one of the most popular rookies to ever enter the NHL. f playing in Canada, I would strongly think he would be the most popular

He is 20, on a better offense then the Habs, and playing a regular role.

He might be small, but you wouldn't think it, he hits, fights. He is an ideal player, and we would be giving a prospect that we can spare. You think we don't have enough spects that play similar to Hossa... (Balej, Kastsitsin, Perezhogin) they can't all make it, Tootoo will.

I would think that Tootoo Begin Ward would be one of the best checking lines in the league. To add to that we could make a good 3rd defensive line starting with Bulis, Higgins, Plekanec (in the future)

Those lines are important just ask Detroit

Hossa is a lost cause alright. And even reaching his mediocre potential, he'll never be as valuable as a guy like Tootoo.

I`m gonna have to disagree with you about him being a lost cause. I don`t like Hossa at all but I think he`s still got a ways to go before he`s an official bust. He`s not a lost cause yet.

I dont think he need to dominate the AHL ...
he just fit well on the 4th line for our future ! (with potential to top in the #2 line)

i'd do that deal any day of the week. tootoo has heart, hossa has none. Nashville would never do this trade.right now tootoo is the best agitator in the league.

I am a HUGE fan of Tootoo style players, he's a like a pitbull, small, compact, full of energy and strong as an ox ! I know you're going to shoot me down for saying this but... He's like Tucker >_<

However, I would have to say that Hossa would be better used as bait in a more complex 4-5 player deal at the deadline.

Nashville would never do it. I don't think he's like Tucker, he fights a lot more.
