Robin, if you are still reading this thread, the interview that the articles were apparently based upon is at the Edmonton Oilers site. After listening to it, it seemed to be more that Kevin Lowe had talked to 22 GMs, and maybe kicked around ideas with him. Did not sound like they were all real concrete deals.

It's either a weak ego or ratings bait.

Good lord, no. We already have an 'Emery,' and hopefully he's traded for picks...

I'm actually heading home from work now so I can watch the draft and i'm too lazy to check if it's been posted but Martin McGuire of CKAC has said Montreal no longer has there 1st round pick.
Have a good one guys and hopefully we see some fun trades tonight and GO OILERS!!

Especially if you're Calgary, they would beat the living hell out of this line up!!!

Maybe certain members of 1260 figure that driving ratings by pandering to the message board crowd doesn't pay off as well as an adversarial "Did you hear what that jerk Stauffer said about us??" relationship?
Just saying, there might be a deliberate reason for pushing this board's buttons.

Man, registered in 2006 and waited this long just to make your first post about Emery... I think that is funny.

Hey. We'll see what happens in about an hour. I'll eat crow if the Oilers make a Stauffer predicted splash at the draft. I wonder what the radio crew will say if none of their deals take place.

Re: Emery. I have always thought he had skills. He just needs his head managed better. Maybe a cold winter and some Edmonton a$$ is what he needs.....

Bashing HF?
Alienating your listeners isn't good for business. Unless they are going for the Rome: Love them or hate them type of show, it usually ends badly.
Bob seems to be getting more controversial in the last 6 months to a year, and that is too bad because I find him an intelligent and entertaining guy.
Robin? He has the smarts, but not knowing what they have been talking about, I can't comment. I would hope he knew better.

I'm actually awaiting a call to head out on a job that would probably have me miss the whole 1st round
I've been missing stretches of work with whiplash and post concussion syndrome, so I'm not in a spot to request time off
The wife should be home in about an hour, hopefully she can keep me updated on the phone.

Great news, hopefully this will be the first of many positive days for you, your fiance, and of course the Oilers
God Bless, Bryan
