Sullivan a Predator!

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=72457

Exactly what's needed now. A player who busts his ass every shift. Good pickup.

2 2nd round picks for Sullivan? I'm goin go hunt down pulford with a shot gun for this.

We just traded away a heart and soul player like Walker for 2 2nd rounders.

Would any of you Preds fans trade Walker for 2 2nd rounders if you were 20 points out?

The Preds are my 2nd fave team. I really like Hartnell, Hamhuis and Upshall. This trade doesn't sting so much because of the team Sullivan ended up on.

He's making what, 3 mill now?

Doesn't that make him the highest paid Predator?

I don't see how they could've given up both 2nd's for him to just leave - does this make Walker's leaving a foregone conclusion? I don't think they would've traded for him if they couldn't handle his salary.

[QUOTE=WuRtZLeSs] - does this make Walker's leaving a foregone conclusion? IQUOTE]

That is exactly what I thought after I celebrated the news that Leopold/Poile made a move to improve this team. At any rate it will be fun to watch Sullivan on this team to make a push..

Anyone want to venture a guess at the lines we'll skate on Wednesday?

Sweet pickup by the Preds. I've watched Chicago play a few times this year and this guy is a heart and soul kind of player with loads of skill. Always makes things happen.

You're team will benefit greatly with him in the lineup!

We need some bigger bodies with Sullivan. I saw pair him with Hartnell and somone else.......Erat maybe? Who knows. If only we had a centerman that could win faceoffs!

I think Tootoo or Smith might feel this trade the most.

yeh, Hall might be moved to the 4th line, but Trotz today was talking about how they missed Hall in the line-up.

Congratulations on adding Steve Sullivan. If you keep playing like you did tonight and miss the playoffs you can take heart that Sullivan always seems to find a way to score against the Jackets.

You sure could have used him tonight, eh?

While I LOVE this trade, and I know this will help our offense a lot...I still have to wonder, will it really be enough to get Vokoun to stop throwing pucks at our empty net? Seriously, if we had Sullivan plus Sakic and Bertuzzi and Naslund we still would be hangin' on the edge of the playoff picture, with Vokoun basically sucking. What is it, 5 or 6 out of the last 7-8 games Vokoun has given up 3+ goals, and 4 in a few of them. This will just not cut it. Vokoun has to step up, or else we sit at home while 16 teams play for a while longer.

In fairness, I really didn't expect Kimmo to score on him...

'tenders are supposed to keep the stick down when anyone is behind the net, malhotra could have nearly stuck it in himself...and as of late, but i was talkin' more generally, like the last 5-6 games.

How about this: Nashville never sends players to the all-star game again.

vokie and kimmo really shined tonight, eh?

Congrats to you Nashville fans. You are going to love Sully. He is a heart and sould type player and never takes a shift off. Despite his size he never backs down to anyone. He is a class act on and off the ice.

He is a streaky scorer and when he gets hot he really lites em up. I hate to see him leave the Hawks but with our ownership we have learned to expect the worst.

Anyone who thinks you gave up too much will not think so once you watch him on a regular basis. Hawk fans are PISSED right now. We could care less about losing ZHamnov, but losing Sully is akiller.

Good luck to Stevie in Music City. You will be fondly remembered in Chicago!!!!!
