Bob Mckenzie was just talking about him on the NHL network and says he has speed to burn. He also said Kristo will be going to the university of North Dakota next year.

A talented North Dakota recruit and highly regarded prospect for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Danny Kristo finished the year as the highest rated draft-eligible prospect from the USNTDP and was ranked 35th overall in...[details]
Sounds like a good pick. Has great speed, seems equally good as a playmaker & scorer. Not very big & strong, but strength can be worked on. Another draft & follow college bound player.
NHL Central Scouting's Jack Barzee
"Danny is a strong kid, but not a very big, physical kid. He has very quick feet and he's very smart. He's clever with the puck, he can set people up and he can finish. Sometimes he can take himself away from his best assets – thinking and skating and using his hands – and he tries to knock big guys down and he physically can't, but he's got that bite to his game. He has a real top-end level offensively, he could be a top-two line guy in the NHL someday and he's going to play and be successful."

One of the better skates in the draft, scouts like the young American's effort and rate him as a solid second-rounder.
Commentary by McKeen's Hockey Prospects
04/02/2008 - A gifted playmaker that is smooth in just about everything he does .. for instance, Kristo glides on the ice and uses his long fluid stride to cover a lot of ground in a short span of time .. he is also graceful when handling the puck, as he does not over utilize his stick .. instead, he takes advantage of his agile frame and flexible hands to move the puck laterally into open space .. does an adequate job of defending, making him a potential two-way player in the NHL .. however, he needs to be more involved in his own end and work better away from the puck .. despite being more talented than Czarnik, he could take some lessons from him when it comes to backchecking.
FC Rank: #70
Danny Kristo
Position: Right Wing
Shoots: Right
DOB: June 18, 1990
Height: 5’-11”
Weight: 170 LBS
07-08 League: USDP
07-08 Team: U18
Stats: 47 GP 18 G 13 A 31 PTS
Strengths: The speedy winger plays a smart game using his sharp playmaking
ability, soft hands and good finishing skills to produce. He has a lot of potential
and with his smarts you would look for him to improve each game. Kristo handles
the puck well, battles in dirty areas and has solid vision.
Weakness: Size is a area needing improvement going forward as his feisty
competitive nature often takes him to battles for puck which he tends to lose
because of his lack of strength. Defensively he needs improvement in his ability
to read the play and react. Kristo will need a few years time to fully develop his
game to where he can be best utilized by the team that rafts him
NHL Potential: Character Forward.
I know nothing about these guys but I have no problem taking a guy who won't be in the NHL for awhile; it's not like we have tons of room at the moment. Scouts must have seen something they liked and given our track record in recent years I'm certainly not going to complain.

Yeah exactly, the guy has excellent speed and a good work ethic, even though he is on the small side right now he has 2, 3 maybe 4 years to bulk up and get ready for the pro game.
