Tikkanen at game tonight

Got a nice ovation. Guess the rumors must be true. Hey, if you think about it, Esa played in the Ranger's last playoff game. Maybe he can bring this team some good luck and get us back in the playoffs. At this point Sather should try anything. I really don't think it could get worse. And if it doesn't work, Esa will just bring some comic relief to this poor excuse for a team.

1 of the announcers commented on Esa's goofy language of his own, which he referred to as Tikkanese. I thought it was referred to Tikkitalk.

Esa was as tough as you get when he played. He got a great Ovation from the crowd, who hasn't had much to cheer for again this season.

We're still cheering for 1994, I guess you guys know what it feels like, right 1974? :p

It's really pathetic.

Even Roenick got a nice cheer...

from the crowd...heck of a lot better than what Kovalev received, which was a smattering of boos.

Glad to see Hlavac gettin 11 minutes of well-deserved ice time. He should turn the corner any minute now. Can't wait.

Tik always looked older than he was.

Heck even in his mid 20's he looked 30. He was 29 when the rangers one the cup but he looked like he was at 5-8 years older.

I thought the rumors were not his playing (both his knees are shot) but about a management or staff type thing.
