there is probably more to this pick. Maybe Clark was thinking of leaving, who knows. He is a pretty big part of our team (has worked very well with Roberto). If he is happy, then Roberto is happy, and in turn we are happy.
7th rounder doesnt mean much but when a supposed 2-4th rounder in Reddick is sitting there and we pass on him for what looks to be a nothing pick, you gotta wonder.
Ian Clark just got a big favor from Gillis and the canucks management.

I'm wondering why every team passed on Reddick. It wasn't just the Canucks.

There was obviously something specific about him that was making teams pass(maybe size?). If there's some 'fatal flaw' that scouts think will hold him back from being an NHLer they won't bother drafting a player.
This really pisses me off. I realize it's a 7th round pick but can't we at least pretend to keep things professional? If you want to do Ian Clark a favour bring his kid to rookie camp, don't waste a pick on him.

That's kind of my point. If we're going to complain about picking Clark don't complain because someone else is on the table but noone picked him. It's obvious that something about Reddick scared teams away.
u know, this gives me a feeling that we're gonna trade schneider
I think it's much more likely that Schneider backs up Luongo next year, than being dealt because the Canucks drafted the goalie coach's kid in the 7th round.

For a guy to fall that hard, there has to be something major that the teams are seeing that is making them stay away.
