Free agency hasn't even started yet. I'll get back to you during training camp.

What new lines?

Who needs new lines anyway?

The current ones look just fine.

You should see the new lines on Interstate 25. They're awesome!

The Lightning and Kings are probably the only teams that have players to add to their lineup after yesterday...excluding trades.

With the direction we're going in, Schenn could realistically see minutes in Toronto. Wilson has experience with young defensemen already.

Lines cant be judged yet though, Fletcher has mentioned the next two weeks as being a big time for the face of the team.

More like
Semin-Nylander-Fehr
Laich-Fedorov-Clark

Boudreau's not going to waste Nylander on the wing (with his skillset he'd be a horrible winger, I think), and putting Laich back at LW should help him keep up his offense (and, dare I say, he had some good chemistry with Fedorov).

I'd also put the 4th line as Steckel-Gordon-Bradley, because I expect Brashear to play the least of the 4 (although I expect all 4 to get time as scratches), but that one's so tough to figure out either way.

Well the Blues have some interesting options so I'll just go with the obvious one:

Kariya - Tkachuk - Boyes
Perron - McDonald - Oshie
Stempniak - Berglund* - Backes
King - McClement - Hinote/Janssen

Jackman - Johnson
Brewer - Polak*/Wagner*/Woywitka
McKee - Pietrangelo*/Wagner*/Woywitka

Legace
Mason

* = They may or may not make the team.

Toronto Maple Leafs will ice a lineup consisting solely of Luke Schenn.

Brenden Morrow - Mike Ribeiro - Konstantin Pushkarev
Loui Eriksson - Brad Richards - Fabian Brunnstrom
Jere Lehtinen - Mike Modano - Joel Lundqvist
Toby Peterson - Steve Ott - James Neal

Sergei Zubov - Matt Niskanen
Phillipe Boucher - Trevor Daley
Stephane Robidas - Nicklas Grossman

Marty Turco
Tobias Stephan

Dallas will likely sign a couple forward UFA's to fill out the front lines, otherwise I'm really liking how the Stars are shaping up for 2008-09

Penner-Horcoff-Hemsky
Gagner-Cogliano-Nilsson
Torres-Stoll-Pisani
Moreau-Brodziak-Stortini

Souray-Gilbert
Pitkanen-Grebeshkov
Staios-Smid

Garon/Roloson

A lot of people want to see Glencross re-signed, which would mean something would have to give in the forward lines.

D-pairings are up in the air - it remains to be seen who Souray is paired with, since at the start of last season Gilbert/Grebeshkov were largely unknowns and Souray was injured for the end of the season. Greene could step into the 3rd pairing.

Smid was pretty tough to watch at times last season. I'd bet that Greene gets in before him. He was our most consistent Dman before his ankle injury. You could tell he wasn't 100% after that. I expect him to bounce back. The fact that Smid has a cheap 2-way contract makes it easier on MacT to justify making him the 7th defensemen.

I agree with the forwards but I'd have the defense like this....

Pitkanen - Gilbert
Souray - Staios
Grebeshkov - Greene
Smid

Gilbert and Pitkanen had a good thing going on at the end of the season. Pitkanen played the role of offensive defensemen and Gilbert was defensive but still had enough hockey sense to know when to pinch in and pot a few goals. It worked out well.
