seriously? The 2008 draft just ended hours ago, and we're starting an 09 one? Wow, I thought we'd at least wait until September, where players are starting to play again...

Oh well Judging by what our roster looks like going into next year (seriously, ANTROPOV will be our #1 Center, not saying he's not good, but he's not a #1 center) it looks like we'll be getting one of Tavares, Hedman, or Duschene.

Schenn would be a great consolation barring the obvious pick of Tavares if we have a shot.

As an Islanders fan i hope you guys suck next year because that 2nd rounder in 2009the only saving grace from not picking Filatov(i guess picking Ness and Petrov might help as well if they ever pan out)

Tavares has peaked and is over rated. Hedman is the real deal only thing that will be hard is with no transfer agreement. The two Schenns would be awesome though

You and me both, I hope we play the young guys alot, which should mean we'll be back in contention for a good pick again.

We need Brayden Schenn. If he goes to another team it could be painful watching Luke run him over.

I hope the Leafs suck also. I am a fan but to get Hedman or Tavares.......man oh man. I could care less about the 2nd round pick. I personally would go after Hedman. This guy is huge, physically and with hockey sense. Having Hedman and Schenn playing for the Leafs.....wow!!!!!

It would be funny yet satisfying, if this scenario pans out. Imagine we finish last in the 08/09 season, but we lose the lottery and pick at the two spot. Now Tavares goes first, Hedman is on the Board do we Trade the pick, and move down to draft Schenn?, or Keep the pick and take Hedman?.

Kaberle - Coliacovo - Stralman - Schenn - Hedman - Whoever elese = one kick a$$ D-Core.
