Yes, Ballard and Boynton improve the Panthers defensively. And yes, that is an area of concern since Tomas Vokoun faced the most shots in the NHL last year. But all Olli brings to the table has been shipped off for basically no offensive output in return.

Its an article that thinks about what we were all thinking and what happened. It also talks about how he thinks Matthias could be ready to help with the scoring problem and "the reigns are on the young guys now" and Olesz and kreps could become a sleeper line in the NHL. Also talks about Jay Bouwmeester a little bit and how we might be open to free agency.

Could be a fun summer who knows?

Not really - Spiegel is HockeyBuzz's Panthers blogger. So it suggests he's a fan.

Well there is the saying that third year players take the biggest jump in development and really start to produce..so hopefully this means Olesz will begin turning the corner. I hope JM doesn't just sit around on July 1 and hope this current pack of forwards will make it work, because it will take a lot of things falling into place miraculously for it to happen. Plus, if he does, that won't really convince JBo that he's trying to win now.
