Homer pick, but Tyler Ennis has been caled by EJ McGuire 'possibly the best pure offensive player in the draft.'

IMO he is up there.

^ I wouldn't have Wilson in there, but hey, a little too early to tell maybe.

I'd say it's pretty close between Hodgson and Boedker but this still seems reasonable.

If he was the best wouldn't he be a top 20 pick then? Or does his super small size turn everyone away? This kid interests me either way...I could see him turning into a star if he can add like 25-30 pounds. I've only seen clips of him...but you can tell hes ultra talented.

It's not just the size, he's also quite one-dimensional. He'll have to round out his game AND add some weight. Now, that said, I'm a huge fan and wouldn't bet against him ending up a top 6 forward.

Andre Petersson, LW
Petersson is a one-dimensional goal scorer with first-class technical skills. The 5'9.5, 169-pounder is flashy and can score highlight-reel goals. He has a quick release and although sometimes a bit selfish with the puck, he has the hockey sense and skills to deliver excellent passes. Petersson’s major concern is his work ethic and defensive play. He does not look inspired at all times and has a somewhat negative body language, as he often hangs his head. When on top of his game, he is arguably the most offensively-skilled Swedish forward eligible for this year’s draft.

He makes the other team look like pilons out there lol, Im glad hes a sens pick.

God, how many people have actually watched Ennis play? Not on Youtube.

He plays for one of the best defensive teams in the league. They play defense first - scoring second fast paced hockey.

He is NOT a defensive liability. Granted, he does not have the defensive skills that Helm had, he plays a very good defensive game.

Please, for the love of everything good and holy, KNOW what you're talking about before you start spreading crap like this.

He's a guy Baker was pimping and I find it regretable that he's a Sen since now, if he pans out, he's going to be filling the Sabres net.

I don't want to sound like a homer(Devils fan), but why Isnt Tedenby ranked higher if this is just pure offensive players?

From reading scouting reports he is a consensus top 2 skater in the whole draft, has some of the softest hands in the whole draft, and has put up a lot of points wherever(u18 international, and national) he has gone(relative to age). Also has put up respectable numbers in the SEL as a 17/18 year old in limited minutes.

Again I'm not saying he is the best, but for those that have seen him and didnt rank him, why isn't he ranked up there in terms of just pure offensive talent? Id like to know more about our prospect.
Thanks

Just entirely pure offense?

It's a tie between Ennis and Stamkos;
then Tedenby, Filatov, Hodgson, Boedker, Eberle, etc.
Give the edge to Ennis because he put up those numbers in a vastly more defensive league.

Something like:

Ennis
Stamkos
Tedenby
Filatov
Hodgson
