No Deal. The sabres want to resign Zhitnik at years end and we will need him for a playoff spot push. How about Biron for Rachunik and a pick though?

No. I like Rachunek, but the Sabres need Zhitnik if they want to make the playoffs, and then make a splash in the playoffs. Change Zhitnik to Tallinder or Campbell and maybe I would consider it.

I'm not quite sure the Sabres will make the playoffs...but I don't see a reason why we should get rid of a top 4 defenseman in Rachunek. Pothier/Hnidy are often terrible and I don't have much confidence in Lescyshyn.

Agree with no deal. Now Buffalo fans should resume regular activities and get back to fighting with the Thrasher fans over Hartley's typical send-in-the-goons approach to a losing game.

Well , it's what happened. Ask those who called the game. They'll agree it was insane.

The Sens have seen this insane stuff too from the Thrashers.

Martin HATES Hartley (I almost wonder if he doesn't put money up in the dressing room when Ottawa plays Hartley), and I suspect that this is part of the reason.

The Thrashers are a dirty, dirty team. Savard, while a good player...is one of the dirtiest players around. Hell, he'll even bite if he has to. The clutching, the grabbing, the diving, etc by the Thrashers is likely the only way they were at one point in a playoff position.

Inside Scoop

Judge Judy was quietly traded to the Sens for future considerations. Word has somehow leaked to a certain reporter with the Ottawa Sun that the future considerations are a Sens player who's currently on IR. There was also a reported Radek Bonk sighting yesterday at the Winter Festival at Hoyt Lake...stay tuned

I can't see Ottawa being interested in Biron, he is too young. All you'd be doing is setting yourself up for an ugly goalie situation when Emery is ready. Ottawa would only make a deal for a goalie if he was unquestionably better than Lalime. Overal the deal favors Ottawa in value, but it still does not make much sense.

the only way that Rachunek ever puts on a Sabres jersey is if Kalinin puts on a Sens jersey
