Thanks.

My guess is Big Valley is probably out for a while so this is to shore up the goaltending in TO.

I remember back when we drafted Sarno and the talk was all about how he played the same type game as Weight. Things sure were promising then. Two consecutive OHL scoring titles.

When did this happen? Not sure id give up on Sarno this quickly.......... I guess this is the big shake-up everyone was expecting after the LA loss.

(Edit. Its official. On tsn.ca. Sarno to Vancouver, Moss to Edmonton. Watch Sarno now develop into a nice little 3rd line C with a 15-18 goal range )

I would suspect it has something to do with Conklin's status more than anything. I'm not sure about the specifics of his contract, but I'm sure he's someone who will be expendable at the end of the season.

Right now if Salo goes down... who would be our starters?

Good deal. Sarno wasn't going to play here. He's AHL all the way.

Could this be another one that Calgary let get away, a la Giggy??

(I guess I'm a big dreamer on this one)

Sarno is a good hockey player...Sarno will be an NHL'er....At least if he gets rid of that ugly visor...I loved how he played in the pre-season, and I hope he makes it with Vancouver...

I agree Sarno is a good hockey player, but I doubt he will ever play a full season in the NHL. He will be a fringe NHL and AHL player for his career.

I liked Moss a few years ago as well, hopefully he'll be reliable when/if we need him. Usually Auld gets the callup in Vancouver so you have to wonder about Moss getting any better...I guess it's a huge improvement over picking up Roussel off waivers though.

Good luck to Sarno in Vancouver, I'll be shocked if he ever gets a chance in the N.

I thought Sarno looked Ok when he played here for couple of games.

Anyway, an Ok deal, nothing special.

Speaking of Vancouver, what would be the cost to get Fedor Fedorov?

Judging by some of the talk of Nuck fans, just paying his airfare out would be enough.

Imagine..it was a coup to rid of Slegr for futures. Now if somebody would like unmotivated, sulky Fedor tht would be the icing on the cake...

While I would tend to agree with you, Burke has recently stated that he will not be trading Fedor. He said that he will be given a qualifying offer in the summer.

The risk is just too great to simply dump him off for a pick. Burke and the Canucks staff think he is the most talented guy in the system behind Naslund and Bertuzzi. And he has been on fire lately in Manitoba.
