Riley Cote to sign with Philadelphia Flyers

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=15901

Quote:
There's an unconfirmed report that enforcer Riley Cote and the Flyers have agreed to a three-year contract worth about $566,000 per season against the cap ($1.7 million in all). He earned $500,000 last season.
As a Flyers fan I would be happy about this.

Update:
Quote:
Riley Cote's three-year deal is all but wrapped up. The contract worth will be between $1.7 million ($565,000 cap hit) per season and $2.4 million ($800,000 on the cap), depending on the source.

Would be a very good deal for a player like Cote.

That's a great deal considering how much someone will probably give Laraque.

You mean "re-sign." Apparently Cote took less money for more years and a one way contract.

one-way contract isnt really less money - it actually guarantees him a hell of a lot more money.

He wanted more money for this season but will take less to help the cap out a little bit. So instead he got more years at a lower annual rate.

I really wanted the Hawks to go after him. Kane and Toews need protection.

Actually that picture was taken after the Roy fight. Cote is still foaming at the mouth when he was handed his trophy for knocking Roy out.

Don't even get me started on that trade! I really liked Sharp and always envisioned him and Richards working well on a PK line together.

Rockin' Riles back for 3? Character guy who works hard on and off the ice. good deal.
