Everyone in this thread is corny.

My most recent thought-it-was-something-but-kinda-fizzled-out-thing has a kinda corny meeting story.

A couple of my friends were trying to set me up with some guy, so we all went out and were hanging out and a group of people they knew came over and sat with us. This dude came and sat next to me and started chatting me up, so naturally I thought that was the guy they were trying to set me up with so I decided to chat back. Turns out that was just some guy that showed up that night with the aquaintances of my friends, but I had given him my number anyway. The guy they were trying to set me up with was kinda sulking in a corner the whole time. Prize catch, that one. Had he gotten up and thrown a drink at me to get my attention, he might have had more luck.

Well, it definitely wasn't Fido (No offense, Fido; you know I love you in a platonic, HF-married, canine sort of way).

See though, it only works if I do it

Nice story LC, I can definitely picture you sitting in your rocking chair years from now telling it to the grand kids.

WTK's presence is relatively scarce today. Yesterday, too. That makes me a sad panda.

All these kissing stories are quite inspirational...

Beaker kissed her in the spring,
Lord Chezz in the fall,
But Fido only looked at her
And never kissed at all.

Beaker's kiss was lost in jest,
Chezz' lost in play,
But the kiss in Fido's eyes
Haunts us night and day.

Things are really going south, dog smells nice bottom of curve approaching

We are inching towards 20% off highs, that's technically a crash people. With cdn$ near parity, this is a sweet opportunity to buy into the US with a mid to long term horizon (5+ years).

To your portfollios people

edit: do not take investment advise from internet dog seriously. come to own conclusions /end legal disclamer

Ok, don't leave us hanging. Did he end up calling you? Are you now friends? Yadda Yadda Yadda

Yeah we went out for a while, it was fun enough, but it kinda fizzled. Right around the time Pricey's glove hand did. Or maybe a little bit before.

EDIT: We ended it on good terms, though.

Oh no, the Lilwinger - Beakermania thread has gotten back the most popular topic status....this means we have nothing to talk about.

How come no one posts 'met my spouse stories' where she says 'I like you so much that you don't have to pay this time.'

Oh well it can't always be great, but atleast it ended on good terms. If you have some spare time you might want to help out WD in this regard.

You do realize that the guy skulking in the corner was intimidated because you were chatting with the other guy ?

I should probably go to a church and light a candle in case my wife discovers the internet and thinks that I am in any way making an inference.

I do. But see, he was there first, but didn't say a word to me or come up to me, how was I to know he was the one I was being set up with? The other guy just held out his hand, shook mine, introduced himself and sat down.
Very confident. Pretty impressive.

Impressive is getting you all wet from the get go, by throwing his glass at you.
