That one makes no sense to me. It's like they didn't want all their new picks to show up? "We are happy we drafted you. Now we expect you in Phoenix in 2 days."

Great invitees at the Rangers development camp as far as goaltending is concerned....Blanchard and Perugini. Wished we would've been interested in Blanchard.....

Invites for prospect camp

A fun topic for the more knowledgable ones:

Who, in your opinion would you invite to the prospect camp, and why? tell us about them, (including their credit card information please).

Edit: And I mean outsiders, not prospects within the organization. People such as last years Desharnais...

Kruise Reddick, Rds reported he was ranked 30 and wasn't drafted. Timmins said him being ranked 30th was a mistake on the part of the scouting service, forget if it was iss or the other one but whatever. It doesn't hurt to get a closer look, then again, if everyone skipped him for 7 rounds when he was ranked 30th, he may just plainly not be as good as his stats indicate:

Season Team GP G A PTS +/- PIM
2006-07 Season Tri-City Americans 60 9 13 22 17 30
2007-08 Season Tri-City Americans 72 23 51 74 22 60

By the way, he's only 5'9.

Q guys invited to camp

Well, each year some guys go undrafted and get the opportunity to be signed for ,well , nothing!
You dont waste draft pick but add more contracts ( limit is 50)

Here's some guys worthy to bring to camp

Mathieu Tousignant
Brings offensive and grit but poor skater and small for a 3/4 liner
Alex Beaton
Tons of offensive skills but no toolbox
Robert Mayer
From potential first rounder to undrafted, what a drop but potential.
Dave Labrecque
Made out of glass but very skilled forward.
Jonathan Bonneau
Had tremendous playoff, 3/4 liner in the making
Pierre-Alexandre Vandall
Bad attitude but could blossom
Alexandre Néron
Sooo green but who knows!
Tommy Tremblay
A guy you want in your team , cant be scared.
Travis Stacey
Tough guy , legit brawler
Ashton Bernard
When our only tough guy is Bonneau, we could use a guy like him.

you seem abit confused.

Monahan is with the VAL D'OR Foreurs.

Drummondville is les Voltigeurs

As for Alex, I had the chance to watch him play ALOT this year because he played with one of my best friends in Victoriaville.

The kid is full of talent but I dont think he has what it takes. At least not yet. Maybe another year in the Q will help him out. No doubt the talent is there.

I would have been looking at a number of the graduating junior goalies as potential replacements for Cedrick Desjardins in the ECHL. I already see Gajewski, Peruguini, and Blanchard in other camps. Somebody of that ilk would be good for us. Sebastien Dahm or Ryan Daniels if they're still in play, maybe. I guess they know Loverock well enough; whether or not that familiarity gets him over the rocky season he's coming off, I dunno.

Well the 2 goalies I wanted are at the blues and rangers camp, hope we can find an overager or FA goalie for Cincy (as well as a starter in Hamilton).

As for who they could invite, guys like Francis Pare, Matthew Pistilli, Michael Dubuc, Felix Petit, Dean Ouellet, Geoff Walker, Toby Lafrance, Alex Monahan, Drew Paris, Dany Masse, Scott Hawes......

Guys that went undrafted, Bonneau, Mayer, Labrecque might be interesting. I wasn't impressed with what I saw from Mayer but there was a lot of hype around him at the start of the year. Neron seemed to get a lot of interest in the draft thread this year, seems to have some decent offensive skills but really lacks strength and needs work in his own end, might be worth a look.

The problem with the '90's is that if you like them you have to sign them, granted their contract won't kick in until they are out of juniors but it takes up a spot on the 50 contract limit. The others would be mostly for Cincy as Hamilton should be good on forwards but they might need a defensemen or two or three depending on what players are back.

wow, Mayer went undrafted?

I'd snatch him up for a goalie prospect.
