The schedule is up!

Here it is: http://www.fantasiafest.com/2008/en/...?type=features

I'll be checking out the trailers for each movie and then I'll post a list of the movies that interest me.

Thanks! Forgot it came out today...I'll have a look. I know they're showing [Rec] which is supposed to be a fantastic horror film and the new Dario Argento movie (supposed to be not-so-good but I'll see it anyway).

Edit: SICKKKK they have Miike's Django remake! I was hoping for that. Not too much else I recognize off the bat so I'll have to read up + watch some trailers.

They're going to be available July 2nd apparently...the day before the first showings.

That's my only real complaint about Fantasia, they announce the festival lineup only a few days before it starts. They hardly give you any time to figure out what movies you want to see, buy your tickets, etc.

Based on Clive Barker's novel, it looks really interesting but I won't be able to catch it unfortunately.

Before the Fall looks really interesting. I have a feeling I'm going to spend a lot of money on tickets .

EDIT: I can't believe they're showing a Uwe Boll film. He should never think about directing ever again.

Machine Girl is a must for me. Probably the only one on the list, but others have me interested.

Curious to see the new Nakata movie... He was a really good director but stunk it up for some reason.

I know, you got to plan 2 weeks in only a few days and then you can't even study the trailers properly. I usually hit about 20 shows but I may have to cut down this year and just get the major movies from my friends in Vancouver.

They always seem so ill prepared. Also I wish they would just sale super passes granting access to all shows. That would be easier for me.

Anyway looks like a great line up again!

Yeah, his movies suck beyond imagination.

Sukiyaki Western Django by Takashi Miike seems funny.

I think they showed an Uwe Boll movie last year too. Maybe they're hoping people will go just to make fun of it? I dunno...no matter what people say about it or what kind of movie it is, if I see the name Uwe Boll attached to it I just keep going.

I went through the descriptions and some of the trailers, read around a bit and came up with these 10 that I'd like to catch:

Sukiyaki Western Django*
[REC]*
Mother of Tears*
La Antena
Alone
Let the Right One In
Midnight Meat Train
Who is KK Downey?
Pig Hunt
Tokyo Gore Police

(*=must see, for me)

Some other interesting-looking ones too: Ex Drummer, 4bia, Epitaph, Timecrimes...
