Go to a Community College close to home to get your grades up. I had alright grades in high school. Went to a Community college for a year and did decent (2.5 to 3.0 GPA range) and applied to a top private university and got in. You can still play some kind of hockey while at Community College. It's not as demanding as a regular one.

The community college option is a good route. Don't discount it.

Or, here are some links to some minor hockey leagues.

http://www.northeasternhockeyleague.com/ NEHL

http://www.thesphl.com/ SPHL

http://www.mahlhockey.com/index.php?...d=34&Itemid=40 MAHL\

Or, you can check out some of the foreign leagues. I think there might be some open tryouts for leagues listed in The Hockey News.

Don't give up the dream until you give it your best shot. Believe me, making $200 per week, living in your car at the rink, and barely getting by, while being paid to play hockey is a lot better than actually having to work for a living. Good luck.
