OT: WANTED - The Movie

I was just wondering if anyone else saw WANTED over the weekend. I saw it on Friday, and I have to say that I loved the movie.

If you enjoy movies that don't take themselves seriously, check out WANTED.

Is it anything like Shoot Em Up? Cause that movie was amazing.

Really enjoyed it until the last 15 minutes. I can't explain why (i.e. spoiler), but you can't do what they did and expect me back ... well, not unless you SELL me hard.

Way better.

Great action, dialogue, and plot.

OT in this thread but has anyone watched the newest M. Night Shyamalan (sp?) movie with Mark Wahlberg??? The wife wanted to see it, but I can't stand M. Night movies. So I wouldn't mind it if someone could vouch for or against it.

I thought WANTED was one of the dumbest movies I've seen in years.

SHOOT'EM UP at least had a sense of humor - it was supposed to be ridiculous (even if it wasn't imaginative or funny enough for me to enjoy it). WANTED had so much stupidity ingrained in it, but was also played very straight. Ugh. I thought the FIGHT CLUB ripoff moments were the best, but it sunk itself with incessant shallow action, loads of cliché, and the aforementioned onslaught of stupidity.

But as always, ymmv.

I can see what you mean - I heard other people say the same thing. I just enjoyed the quick pace of the movie - and I personally liked what I'm thinking you didn't. Different strokes I guess...

Either way, I didn't feel ripped off when I left the theater. The same can't be said for The Love Guru - what a ****hole movie.

Wait until it comes out on DVD - not worth the price of admission IMO.

M. Night Shyamalan hasn't come out with anything good in some time.

An interesting take on the movie. I guess I was happy that I walked out not feeling ripped off. Like I said earlier, I've seen The Love Guru, and The Happening and I was not impressed one bit.

Signed (pun intended?) against

I like Mark Wahlberg, and I like dumb movies.. I still wouldn't have gone knowing what I know after having seen it.

I'm not sure why I keep giving M Night Shyamalan a chance I guess I'm a sucker for marketing, but I will definitely not be seeing his next movie, no matter how neat it looks.

wanted was cheesy but they played it up. Honestly go in expecting tons of nonsense and just enjoy it. It really is pretty good.
