hello? Kapanen stinks. He can't even stay in the lineup.
Yeah, but I'd rather have Kapanen out there learning and playing for the future over Corson who won't contribute any more then Kapanen. Unless, you consider stupid penalties to be contribution...
Thanks god for that, I glad he isnt going to wear the orange and black.
I think thousands of fans are breathing a huge sigh of relief that he isnt on their team.
Bye bye playoffs.. the race was nice when it lasted.
If this is Armstrong's answer to a "big, gritty winger who can play on a scoring line as well being a major contributor on a checking line", the Stars are doomed. He's Lemieux all over again and he really messed up.
Though I have a veeeeeeeeeery small positive note about this aquisiton, is that he, Arnott and Oliver formed quite a line during their Oiler days. And with the crazy chemestry Arnie and Ollie have, it might be a start of something. Than again, he'll probably just ruin it..
He should also look good alongside Ott and DiMaio, but again, I thought the same of Lemieux last year.
Sure.. just like we were advertised with Lemieux last year. "Just wait till the playoffs, he's gonna prove you wrong". And look who made the most stupid error after one other vs the Ducks? The Clod was a huge reason for the Stars early exit, which is why most Stars fans aren't thrilled about this move.
Wow, last time I checked, and this is a crazy thought, Lemieux and Corson are NOT the same person.
You can never compare two players who may or may not have similar styles of play. Yes, they are both grinders, same age, etc. But that in no way means Corson will be a carbon copy.
I for one think Corson will fill a role vacated by Muller (not Lemieux) and I have a theory that that is why the Stars struggled for a while.

I beg to differ a little. Corson will not fill a role vacated by Muller. Muller is a self-less, team-first hockey player. Corson still thinks he can toss in 25 a year and gets upset when the coach does not allow him the opportunity to play that role.
Muller is an example of how a player can actually look into the mirror for who he really is and bring whatever assets he has left to their maximum benefit to the team.
Corson is an example of an immature brat used to getting things his own way and who puts his own interests waayyyyy in front of his teammates. He is an example of a guy who does not know how to age gracefully. He is an example of a guy who will "quite literally" take his marbles and go home when he can't get things the way he wants. There are all kinds of stories about this ***** in edmonton, Montreal and Toronto. And now Dallas. He's all yours!

.
Did you just copy paste what you said last year about the Barnes deal? Seems very similar.
why is everyone so up in arms about this. dallas wanted a gritty winger and they got him. this is a minor deal, if he plays well then he plays well, if he plays bad he'll probably not play. its not like we lost anything by adding corson, just taking a chance that he'll be an evective depth player. with the trade deadline aproching i would think that armstrong will again make some type of move to try and get this team in a better position to win the cup. thats what a gm should do. with the corson signing thats what he did. we dont know what the outcome will be.

Wow, you really hit the mark there. Teams really exploited Dallas' lack of a 36-year-old fourth-line center for the first half of the season. To be expected, of course...
I said before that I can't imagine why anyone would go after Corson instead of Graves. Why not go after a veteran that is unselfish and you know will be great in the locker room?
right now this team cant do a lot with what they have. it seems they need a scoring winger more than anything, a gritty depth player, a strong defensive defensman, and a backup goalie.
they have next to nothing to trade, because everyone has a no trade clause, or is to important to this team, or the future success of this team(ala morrow, lehtenin, ott, daley ect.)
they got a gritty depth guy who adds a little more bite to the lower lines. he's had problems in the past. and being on the leafes cirtanly didn't help them. if he's got his anxioty problems worked out then he could potintial have a big reward to this team. if he dosn't then theres no harm done to the roster.
now what dallas needs to focus on is gitting a scoring winger.

maybe that Corson played with Arnott, and i think Oliver had something to do with it.
and im not sure if dallas went out looking for Corson, Corson i thought was looking to get back into the leauge and also had detroit as his other team that he would like to play for. and dallas, you know would do almost anything before detroit gets another player that could help them, like the Sloane thing
After he passes the physicals, he should probably see some ice time soon after
is there a cirtane amount of time it takes to get back on the ice after you pass a physical, like if you get put on IR it takes 7 days/ when you pass physical it takes _ amount of days to see action.
or can he be on the ice tomorrow, or against the AV's
