So following this model, this is where it'd get the Oilers:
They have 6 games left this month, 2 at home against the Nucks and Wings, 4 on the road against the Avs, Ducks, Yotes and Stars. If they manage to get 6 points out of those 6 games, that leaves the Oilers with 62 points in 65 games.
If they .800 hockey the rest of the way after that (27 out of a possible 34 points), that would leave them at 89 points, hovering right around where the playoff water mark should be.
This team needs a miracle...and even then it only gets them a date with Colorado or Detroit with a freshly returned Hatcher.
