Trading Pitkanen.

Yeah we will probably trade him eventually but I say dont rush to just make the deal, sign him to whatever is affordable for us and someone else and let him play and perform for us so that we get something greater in return, yeah it might be a gamble but i think its worth it, considering how good we look in the back end now. .... or if he shows that he wants to be here and outplays visnovsky, then we can always move visnovsky. this trade for visnovsky could be a fire to burn under pits if supervised well.
cheers

I agree with you. So many topics...but keep Pitkanen. If we do end up trading this future All-Star we better get some enormous talent coming back.

Play him as a forward.

lol. That is awesome. He plays so deep in the offensive zone at times that I mistake him for one.

i dont really wanna see pitkanen traded unless we're getting a rlly good forward (legit first line) back.

look at our d
souray-visnovsky
gilbert-pitkanen
staios- grebeshkov
smid

if anything trade staios, he's got high value right now, and he's up there in age

Lets not get crazy now. He has shown he has talent but he has not shown he will ever do anything with it. He was only OK last year for us. He is also probably on his way out of town after only one year. Considering Lowe was after him for a long time that should tell you something about the "reality" of Joni as opposed to "the fantasy" of Joni.
If he was worth "enormous talent" in return Lowe would have given him the $ he was asking for already.

I think most oiler fans are mad because we won't get market value back.
