I don't know where your going with this Bluenote but Avery doesn't just beat times by being an antagonist, he can beat them by playing hockey, which I thought he did quite well in the Pittsburgh series. He scored the proverbial third goal in game one that should have locked down the game for the Rangers. He also played a helluva last game while injured.
I'll agree, getting into players heads doesn't determine the outcome for all games but he does much more than that as a player to warrant keeping him.
