Meittenen to Wild, 3 years 7 million (2.33 each)

This is one of the guys i would have liked to plug in somewhere, maybe with Drury.

But the Rangers do have a lot of guys in his caliber.

I saw Uncle Larry mention Dimitri Kalanin as a possible Rangers option on defense. I know he has battled injuries the past couple of seasons but when he was healthy I thought he was a pretty good player. He's also not that old (28 by the start of the season) I could see him coming in here and be a valuable addition.

Some old Ranger news.

Marcel Hossa signs with Dynamo Riga - not in English but I'm pretty sure that's what it says.
link

Dwight Helmenin signs a 1 year 2-way contract with Carolina.

Anyone see Bernier to Vancouver for a 2nd and 3rd? Apparently, Bernier has a bad attitude or at the very least terrible commitment to conditioning.

Yeah I saw that. Must have some attitude problems if he's being passed around at such a young age.

Oh well. Bertuzzi anyone?

That's what TSN is reporting... not the attitude part, just the bit about him going to Vancouver.

Think it was a 1st and a 4th. TB gearing up for another nice draft this year.

So here's my question: are the Sabres gunning for Tavares? That's a team that is in total turmoil right now, unless they have some killer talent on the farm.

Boyle and Lukowich
Carle, Wishart, 1st 2009, 2nd 2010

I think our player equivalent would have been Tyutin and Sanguinetti. Not sure we're in such a rush like SJ is. The 1st and 2nd hurt!

Maybe not, Sharks send Rivet & a 7th to Sabres for their next two 2nd rounders.

For real man. That 7th so completes the deal and is the final piece that balances the trade out!

Does anyone have that link to all the transactions that have happened this free agent period?

For that matter, does anyone have a link with last year's trade deadline transactions?

Thanks.

Taveres. Sabres farm system is in shambles.
