Only teams that will likely trade for Sydor are ones who need to reach the cap floor. IMHO.

My guess is Sid said to Mario, I want Hossa on my wing.

Isn't Shero the GM?

I'm hoping this spells the end of Darryl Sydor and not Brooks Orpik.

Yes, but Mario is part owner. If Sid tells Mario he wants Hossa on his wing, Shero is probably gonna get permission to do whatever it takes to keep Hossa.

That's a GREAT contract IF he can stay healthy. Eaton has the ability to be a top 4 d-man and has shown some incredible potential when healthy.

He blocks shots, commits to defense, plays d-side positioning, breaks the puck out well, opens up for a secondary option, etc. etc. The guy is a great contributor.

Guess this means Laraque is gone, which I'm fine with.

Welcome to the Pens, Eric.

4th best fighter in the league. He's a downgrade from Laraque in all areas but still a great fighter.

You can't go wrong with a guy that knocked Boogaard out protecting your star players.

Godard can fight very well...but hockey wise..he sucks. Can only be used for 1-2 minutes per game as he is a liablity.

This means goodbye Georges.

Fills the same role, so I'm okay with it.

as a flyers fan, this kinda scares me haha. Godard is a great fighter. He might not he as strong as Laraque, but still. It will be interesting to see how Cote ends up doing against him.
