As I said in the other thread I reckon he'll improve our hockey team.

Every single hockey fan knows it's an overpayment, lets just hope Avery can go someway to showing he's worth the $4 million contract.

Do you reckon they might try Modano on Richards wing again to start the season? that'd leave Avery and Ott on the checking line with Lundqvist.

A bit slow on the draw there, Tex, try scanning the thread list before starting a new one.

Ranger fan here, let's look beyond the salary here...

I can almost guarantee all you current Avery haters will end up loving the guy within the first 20 games of this upcoming season. Him and Ott will be a force together. This guy brings you just about everything and any Ranger fan will tell you that. Trust me, you will enjoy this guy.

Well, the encouraging words from Rangers fans make me feel a little better.

Still the fact is we lost a fan-favorite (Hagman) and picked up... Avery.

I don't think there's any question though that this team is better today than it was yesterday.

This is on Hull. He'll have used up a good chunk of the good will from Richards/Brunnstrom if Avery doesn't work out.

We used to argue and yell at him before games and he'd give it right back.

I am glad he is out West now. I would never want him on my team and cannot stand him.

Congrats on a great signing. He's a pest, but when he's your pest, you love his guts.

The kid never takes a shift off. He doesn't have the best shot, the best hands, or the best skating, but he works harder than most.

Dude, does every single post you make have to include something about buying out Hollweg? You realize you're on the Dallas board and that this thread has nothing to do with Hollweg, right?

...that said...

Looking past the contract, Avery will be a nice addition for you guys. Good luck to him in Dallas.

Same thing I said before he came to the Rangers, but I couldn't have been more wrong.

Good signing. THe only ones who say they liked him are the ones who had him last year so what does that tell you? We will like him and everyone else will hate him!

I hope you're right, because I hated him with the Kings and thought he was a joke with the Rangers. I don't care if I'll ever enjoy him on the team, rather I'm just hoping I can tolerate him. If he could get back with Elisha Cuthbert and bring her to the games, it would go a long way.

Good signing. He will quickly become a fan favorite on your team. Ignore what the rival fans say..
