That was my thinking too. If he was going to leave, better to have him out West where we won't have to deal with playing against him.

It all came down to .5 mil :\ Sather is just stupid for not resigning him, but I assume there MUST be a reason. Maybe because Shanny is gone, no one is there to control him. Confused.

Hey it was entertaining, and the team discovered a dynamic that they need to find in another player.

The Avery era is over......

Enjoy Texas Sean

Im sooooooooooooooooo glad he signed out West!

Dear, Sean Avery

I look forward to seeing how you do on the Dallas Stars. I'm very excited to watch how you do in the future. You made these last 2 years as a Ranger fan very worthwhile. It sucks now because you are leaving your best friend Marty Brodeur behind. I'll make sure to watch as many Dallas Stars games as I can this season! Just keep doing what your doing!

Come back soon!

Nice knowing you.

Dallas better get a legit HW. Avery and Ott are going to wreak havoc, and someone will have to answer the bell; the west is no joke.

Boogard, Ivanans, Carcillo, Fedoruk, Chris Simon, Jody Shelley, The entire Anaheim team,

are you serious?

he played two healthy games this past year in the 2nd round and one game with a LACERATED SPLEEN!!

What about his series against the Thrashers and Devils?

What about the way he played overall..i'm not getting into a debate about if he is overpaid.. (the market is the market) but to say good riddance is a little extreame...
