if you're getting a Knights jersey, then put his number when he was with the Knights.

Who knows if he's even keeping 74 in Montreal.

Get 24.

Yeah its definately a possibility strangely enough plekanec started to rise when he got his 14 number... remember the old 35.. that was wack.

If Skost had 24 in juniors.. there is a possibly he does so.. but what about Andrei Maybe he would change the number as well..???

Andrei wont change because he is obsessed with 23 so 46 is double that.
I do think Sergie will change and I hope he does I hate that number #74, 24 would be much nicer.

24 for Sergei seems logical and i dont know why he didnt take that number last year.

As for Andrei... if i`m not mistaking didn`t wear # 17 in his first season in Hamilton?

Those 2 numbers are available and they look more of hockey jersey numbers than 46 & 74

Yeah well he was a call up mid season and some players don't like switching numbers and it's possible some teams do not like it either.

Anyways we will find out in a little over 2 months what Serge decides to do.

And yes Andrei did wear 17

Well we dont really know Andrei personally, maybe he will switch number... it would seem logical that.. if Sergei changes it to 24, then his bro changes it to 23..

23
Andrei Kostitsyn

24
Sergei Kostisyn

makes perfect sense.. but the only reason why i wouldnt see that happening is because Andrei started his rise with 46.. but in an economic way it would be better for him to change his number, as lots of people would buy the new jerseys.

I don't know about 23, though. Isn't that number taken already?

I doubt Andrei would dare ask Bob to take his jerseys down from the rafters for him.

Black is the best!

I think the reason most people ask is because some are affraid if they get a jersey of a young player he may change his number.

Other than that may be because they have had another favourite player wear the same number in the past.

While playing with the Knights they used to have this great compilation of Sergei K highlites they showed on the scoreboard video. It started with the Keefer Sutherland "This week on 24" intro. It helped he had lots of great highlites but i always thought the intro was kinda cool.

Funny Habs had a 24 theme intro last year as well.

Original numbers are amazing. too many players are #10-28. high random numbers look awesome on any jersey. 46 (AKost), 85 (Olesz), 89 (Gagner) and of course the ill-est of all 74 (SKost)

Sweet! I am biased but it is one of the better Jr jersey designs. You got me really thinking about getting one too.

You should see what the game worn sweaters go for. Every year the whites and blacks get auctioned off on line. Can't recall the exact amounts but I believe the Kane and Gagner and Kosty jerseys were way over $1000.

When Dave Bolland was called up with the Hawks I was actually at the game at the United Center. There were three of his friends all wearing his black 91 jersey sitting together. Most of the guys appreciate seeing that

Kane and Gagner wore 88 and 89 in Jr. They are still wearing the same number. I am pretty much certain it is just a birth year thing. Or at least I assume so. LOL

Corey Perry started with a 61 in Anaheim which I assumed was some kind of tribute to former team mate Rick Nash. He switched to 10 last year though. Might have become available but no idea what the significance might be. I think he wore 94
