Thank you Steve Staois

Whether you like it or not, i am proud to have Steve Staois playing for our team. He was an UFA few years ago, and wanted to play hockey where hockey matters therefore he signed with us. He loves this city, he has a passion about our team, he even showed up today for the Katz press conference, it shows how much he cares about our team. This shows character and loyalty to a team. Thank you Steve Staois along with Kyle and Pisani to be at Rexall today.

Were those the only 3?

I thought someone posted that Gagner/Hemmer would be there as well.

Yes, Hemsky was there, as was Smid, from what I heard on CHED.

And for the record, I concur completely. Staios is one class act.

I can see Steve staying with the organization after he retires.

1. Edmonton isn't the only place where hockey matters, why diss the fans of every other team?

2. We took Staios when no one else wanted him.

3. He was somewhat useful for a few years, he's no longer a good defenseman.

4. Bye Steve Staios, we can do better than almost 3 mil for a barely useful bottom pairing defenseman.

5. He'll be gone in less than a year from now, when his horrible play yet again sinks our team.

Did he play for Team Canada?

Care to wager on that one?
