I saw it coming for a while, but it's still surprising when it actually does.

Good luck Jaromir!

can't believe how this guy gets treated by our fans.

I was hoping he would atleast stay in the NHL.

Congrats on a great NHL career Jags! You were one of my favorite Rangers and wore our jersey with pride! Thank you for bringing us back into the playoffs after a long long long 8 years without it.

GL in Russia.

It's bizarre how we were all looking forward to Jagr & Cherepanov playing together in NY.. a passing of the torch perhaps. Unfortunately they'll be playing together after all, but in Siberia.

It's a sad day. He was a great Ranger. It's weird imagining him not with the team now.

funny, I think the Rangers and Jagr both just kind of assumed he'd hit mark and the other year would kick-in.

Not sure if either of them really ever prepared to be seperating at this point.

Wish he stayed in the NHL but good luck to him. He will probably have allot more fun out there, and the moneys better...not that money is a issue for him and his family. So long as he still remembers his Russian from school he should have a great time, and he will be closer to home.

Funny. Whoa whats this button...ignore.
Ill miss your jokes.

By the way if you think this is harsh then so be it, but I dont need to waste my time reading # posts, you clearly are a #, so even if you have something decent to contribute, ill be much happier to miss it then to read another # post.

Same feelings here.

People were saying that this new Russian superleague wouldn't affect the NHL. It did today, it lost one of its top 20 players.

Well im trying a new thing when im on forums and that is to use the ignore list often, anytime someone pisses me off or shows me that their capable of producing stupid and waste of my time posts I throw them on the list. Not sure if it will work, but so far so good. Like I said it sounds harsh but its my little experiment to make my life easier.
Back on topic.

Wish Jagr stayed and moved up further on the all time list, right now he is leaving as a great player but if he moved up in the number 2 or 3 all time spot then he would be a legend. By the way I would still wait for some other official conformations before being 100% sure that he is going to Omsk.

In some ways, I'm sad that he didn't stay in the NHL. I would have no problem if he went to Edmonton. OTOH, we as Ranger fans are at least spared the sight of him terrorizing us on a line with Malkin or Crosby. Thanks a lot, big fella. You dragged us out of the dark ages and helped to make us respectable, when many people thought, (including myself) we had no shot at the playoffs in 2005-6. The last two years have been rough, coming the shoulder injury, and the struggles of last year. But, your playoff performance was one last glimpse of your greatness. And, I wanted so badly to see you and Shanny lift the Cup on Ranger home ice...it just wasn't meant to be. And, you may still help the Rangers next year, if you can help mold Alexei Cherepanov the way you did Brandon Dubinsky. Thanks a lot, big fella...thanks for coming to NY and not simply earning a retirement check, but actually lifting the franchise on your big shoulders. And, when Milbury is done kissing your butt, he can do the same thing to the Rangers fanbase...you'll be missed.
