yeah I agree that that part of the interview wasn't needed.

But the rest was gold hahaha

What is Lowe's overall record as GM of the Oilers?

Uh no. He took the franchise that was completely terrible after the late 90s and made them relevant again.

Architect? He made three moves - signed Selanne, Niedermeyer and traded for Pronger. Everybody else that was there was all Bryan Murray. Brian Burke is nothing more than a hack and a mark for his own publicity.

Thats not the point! Lowe's work wasn't good enough to win Stanley Cup, Burke's was (no matter what you say, the team that won was BURKE"s team)....so far anyway.

You ppl taking shots at Lowe for the 6 rings statement don't understand the context he was using it in. Lowe was just basically saying Burke thinks hes a hot shot because he has a ring.

Are you trying to start an arguement here? All I was trying to prove was Lowe's General Managing track record is incomparrable to Brian Burke. Lowe has had over 7 years to turn the team around since 2000. now i know all you Oiler fans are going to talk about the Finals a few years back, but nothing has come out of that team except for hope from the likes of Hemsky, Gagner, and Cogliano. Burke is a far superior general manager, as well as businesman compared to Kevin Lowe. Burke has at least class, instead of publicly bashing a fellow general manager like he just did.

Yes, it makes for an entertaining off season most definitely. Hopefully Burke fires back now and keeps it going. A playoff matchup between these two would be fun.

Lowe just completely smashed Burke to peices. Absolutely obliterated him--and rightly so after Burke wouldn't shut up and continually took potshots at Lowe. What goes around comes around--and he got it much, much worse. The big baby is probably crying as we speak.

Sorry mate, the interview is definitely funny, but that statement is dumb and opened to infinite sarcasm because:
1. He was on the best hockey team EVER in the NHL.
2. He never won a Cup as a GM.

I can't wait for Burke response, I'm sure his big ego is exploding right now.

Burke has done nothing but trash Lowe since the offer sheet.

Honest question...where would the Canucks have been the last 2 seasons without Luongo. He left the Canucks in 2004....where's the young talent?

John Davidson/Pleau and the rest of the Blues organisation had nothing to say about the Canucks offer sheet I assume?
