Very tall defenceman who is excellent on one on one's, great breakout passes and is a solid skater. The only flaw in his game right now is he needs to be stronger in front of the net and in the corners, once he adds more weight to his skinny body (I believe he's 6'4'' 180 lbs right now) he'll be a hell of a defenceman IMO.

FWIW- HF doesn't seem to count playoff games for some reason. So Price has 41 games and SK has 52 games played. However, I agree that they should be graduated as they are NHLers now.

It was rumoured (even McGuire said something about it) that Korneev planned to play the 2008-2009 season in Russia (He's contracted to it).. and then plans to come over in 2009.

I think Korneev has more desire to play here than Emelin.

I thought Yemelin was interested in coming here but his agent didn't tell him about the Canadien's offer until after he signed in Russia, which resuled in him firing that agent and getting a new one?

Korneev also wasn't drafted by Timmins/Gainey.. so that might be a reason he hasn't come over either.

This is a kind of a strange exercise. ranking players we have not seen in some cases. Including players that are on the NHL club, but calling them prospects by a definition.

I still have to wonder what the point is if we are not rating them based upon potential. How otherwise are you going to rate an NHL player against an 18 yr old Jr. And why would you bother?

Nobody is even saying why they think their picks are better than others.

Thanks by the way to the folks who have seen the college players and taken time to describe what they like about them. I see virtually no college hockey at all and several of the players listed highly are in that category.

Russians playing for other clubs outside the agreement really are not prospects since they are effectively unusable. Korneev was drafted in 2002 and is 25 yrs old. Emelin in 2004.
