Ottawa has definately got to have the most dagerous offense in the east now, without a doubt. Imo..in the entire league.

If Lalime gets hot in the playoffs it's going to be near impossible to beat them.

Wow, that is steep. I'm a huge Laich fan, he's probably my favourite prospect, and this is a fair amount to give up, but this makes us a much better team in the present, so it's not the end of the world. With White going down to injury, this isn't that surprising. Just surprised they gave up Laich.

Is this another typical dump trade, or is this Laich guy a pretty good prospect?

Just curious?

I'm surprised that they needed to give up Laich. I thought a 2nd and maybe a 6th would be enough...apparently not.

Well, maybe Laich will get a chance to play full time with the Capitals in their rebuilding stage now.

Both teams get things that they want, hopefully Bondra pans out in ottawa.

Nice return.

You guys are going to absolutely love Bondra. You are a lot closer to contender status, he's great in the room, good for chemistry, grittier than you will be expecting, has a PP cannon, and still has wheels. Good luck.

Way off?

Even Hossa says it was a steep price... and he's a Sens fan.

Here here.

As a Caps fan, whats not to LOVE about Peter Bondra?

He's loyal, hardworking, happy-go-lucky, and playoff gold. Here's to hoping he wins his Cup and re-signs in DC over the summer.

GOOD LUCK SENS!

He's a good prospect. The runner-up to Josh Harding for WHL Player of the Year last year, he had 6 points in 6 games at the WJC, and has been scoring at about a point a game over the last month in the AHL. He's got size, speed, character and decent skill. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays the rest of the year out in Washington.

The way I see it - One less trading chip for the Sens in future. 20 games and a playoff round or two makes this price a little steep.

Bondra has added a physical element to his game over the past several seasons that deserves respect.

He will hit you.

For what Ottawa gave up, I wouldn't be suprised if Ottawa was trying to re-sign him.

Man, I will miss bondra. I hope and pray we can get him back next season. In other news, Ottawa just got even scarier. I wish we'd been able to get something back for our blueline, but holy crap do the caps have a lot of depth at forward now.

edit-Its funny reading the tsn board attached to the trade article. Everyone is screaming about how Bondra was traded for nothing, or for a 6th and 2nd round draft pick.
