What are they looking for exactly ? Mclaren and Schneider doesn't play the same kind of hockey at all...

Live bodies on defense so we don't have to play a bottom pairing of Schubert and Nycholat.

It is not uncommon to have many offers out their but obviously it is likely that at least some of the same assets are being dangled for either. The Sens do not need two defenceman at the price that Mclaren and Schenider would cost

Pfffft, yeah right. I'll believe that Murray is looking for a D-man the second he lifts his hand to do anything but scratch his ass or acquire yet another 4th liner.

We don't. Nycholat is our #1 D-man now.

That act is getting really old, is it really necessary to bring it outside the sens board though?

Please take McLaren. No compensation necessary.

Murray watched 20 D-men get signed for nothing without lifting a finger... because he claims that he wasted his entire day again chasing a white whale that we had no need and no cap room for (Campbell). Just like he says he wasted trade deadline day discussing Hossa. The man is a ****in' idiot!!!
Now we're desperately hoping to snag another teams cap problem/garbage while we hope to god that nobody signs Meszaros to an offer sheet... because few D-men left on the UFA list should be playing above the bottom pairing.

Everyone is getting massively overpaid. The one thing we should is get a cheap, efficient defenceman who is under the radar.

If we got rid of some cap space by trading Spezza and Heatley so we could sign Campbell at 8 million for 9 years, would that make you happy? We're not Atlanta, we can't just go blowing cap money we don't have.

Kalinen and Mara were at the top of my list. Both went to NYR for $2M.

No, you're not listening to me or you don't know what "white whale" means.
Imagine that my GF isn't happy that I don't have a job and I tell her that I spent all last week trying to become Prime Minister of Canada. That was my entire job search. Do you think she's likely to be happy?

Murray's a ****in' idiot and I'm not happy.

How would you know that Murray hasn't made offers to those guys? The players decide where they play and I'm not sure if you noticed, but not many other Canadian clubs had much luck attracting important UFA's either. Look at the contracts they've signed, they're UFA in one year and they've signed for cheap, it looks to me like they weren't exactly in it for the money, maybe they just want to play for New York?

Wow is he that bad! I haven't seen much of the Sharks over the years but i thought McLaren was still a serviceable dman.

I think someone on the Habs board put it best. He mayas well have been throwing darts with teams' names on them for how accurate he has been this off-season.

hahahah... are you for real?

Kalinin was 3rd pairing on a team that boasted Spacek as their #1 dman at the end of the season and he's softer than butter. Mara is better but always injured and we'd obviously have to pay more for him than the Rangers did. I'll take Mclaren for a low pick over both of them.

That is pretty awesome if the same assets are being dangled for McLaren and Schneider.

The Sens are looking to acquire Wade Schneider? I thought they just got rid of Mathieu Redden?

Is it not worth it to re-sign Richardson? Or is that kind of a last resort?
