What the hell is going on here? 4-0?

(Stoll looks great. This kid is gonna be a Big time contributor soon enough. Everytime one of those Stoll vs. Lombardi polls comes out...... they can keep Matthew. Ill take Stoll's overall skill, consistency, strenght, veteran-like composure and grit any day.)

You're right, in those drafts, the Oilers are rock solid.

This absolutely ROCKS!!!

Jarett Stoll has been astounding tonight. Ryan Smyth too. Obviously I have two reasons to be happy about tonights game (love watching the Oilers actually win for a change, and as a Canuck fan, the Avs losing is huge!), but I'm smiling so much for Stoll right now. I said earlier this season that I wasn't sure if I'd want him more than Lombardi. While I think both will be very good players for their teams, Stoll looks like he could be such a solid player for so long, and whenever you get a player like this in the second round, you've won the lottery that is the NHL Entry Draft!

gaffes like that from bergeron is the reason he is not playing full time in edmonton.

Dude.... that is such an UNSMOOTH thing to say...... that should read "It feels nice to be winning". You wanna know how many teams in the NHL are capable of coming back from a 0-4 deficit? A few. And tonights opponent fits on that short list.

Okay okay it's feels nice to be WINNING and holding out hope that your team won't spectacularly blow a 4-0 lead much to the ire of Canuck fans.

anyhou, good game tonight from the boys, would be nice to see this more often, hard work and all, but i will settle for this stupendous effort from this team tonight.
You mentioned basically that it was all Smyth and Bergeron on that play, I was correcting you and hate to break it to you. I was talking about that play only.

Not getting enough time in Edmonton might make him a bit more uptight when he sporadically has to play against the likes of yzerman and sakic etc.

I know he's a bit of a spaz at times. But Janne worked through that too. You need the experience in order to play loose.

And he can hit the net. That's a free pass right there........on this clubs blueline.

Stoll is well worth his weight as an Oiler. Winning key face-offs that contributed to great goals. I think we have a great face-off guy for many years!

Notice I was laughing at the end, not at you but at the misunderstanding. Colorado didn't show up tonight but it's nice to see a win.

Stoll and Reasoner.

Having 2 centers like this on the team is really gonna help in the future.

That was a nice piece that TSN played with Kariya & Forsberg re-enacting their shootouts from 10 years ago.

"10 years later and Kariya still can't beat Tommy Salo."

That gaffe aside, he's really focused on making the smart play this game. Early on, his first 3 looks were for homerun passes and tonight he looks for it and when it isn't there he is making the smart play.

That is what he needs to do. He isn't going for the homerun, but he has already gotten 2 points.

true gretz i know it takes time to develop these young defenseman, just clearing up why he will be sent down again. not saying he should go down but mact will send him down and tell him to work on his defensive zone awareness.

Kinnda disappointed that Rita hs had two shifts after two periods of play. C'mmon MacT, play this kid in a game with this huge of a lead so he can either boom or bust. it really tough to judge a guy when he's had only a total of ten shifts overr the last three games.

Stoll has been great, though I don't know why he isn't teamed up Hemsky... Yeah Lombardi no doubt has talent around the net but Stoll is dependable with scoring.

What ever happen to Semenov, he didn't play poorly against Detroit. Bergeron made a couple of boo-boo in the second but overall his game has been good, he's one of the few Dman able to hit the net from the point.

overall the whole team is playing unbelievable, seems obvious the avs thought they could walk all over the oilers tonight.
i believe bergeron is having a great game tonight, he can put the puck on the net, and seems to be able to handle the pp quite well.

I think that piece will cause dissent in the Avs room

Will Teemu really want Paul to be that chummy with Peter??

Cue soap operatic organ music!!!

The thing I found funny was Kariya watching the highlight and saying, "No one makes that kind of save on a high shot."

As for the other, yeah Stoll could shape up to be a great 3rd line pivot great in the dot and on the PK.

OK we're up 4-0 after 40 and playing third game in four nights. Good time to play guys like Bergy and Rita and Bisahi
