The oilers are very luck that it was Sauve in net...alot of those goals were purely him being horrible...I like when they play him, we always seem to win

For sure, plus it doesn't hurt that Forsberg was scratched.

If only we could work that out with Lacroix for future reference. :p

I didn't think he was that bad... I mean that was a laser by Ulanov and Staois had about 4 whacks at the puck.

The only questionable goal was the Smyth one, and Sauve was just trying to get back in position and Smyth caught him at the right time.

I actually want all of our Canadian teams to do well and would love it if they all made the playoffs.

I have my favorites to win the Cup of course, but in the end I'd be happy with the Cup coming back up to the great white north.

I disagree... I don't think Sauve was to blame... I think the problem was that the Avs D tonight couldn't have kept a PeeWee Ringette team from in front of the net. Damn, skippy, Martin Skoula makes Tom Poti look like Mark Tinordi.

That could be...I didnt watch the game but watched the hi lites...it just looks like sauve had no puck control and was always losing it and not know where it was..

Overall, I don't know whether to be impressed by the Oilers' effort tonight, or amazed at how bad the Avs stank. Just a sad effort from the Avs. They took the night off.

1st goal was terrible

2nd goal was lucky. 3rd goal was no one tying up Staios and 4th was pure luck. 5th was Avs not giving a ****

On 4 of the goals Colorado defencemen did their best pilon impressions watching the Oiler forwards hack away at loose pucks, and the other went right in off Skoula from a point shot going wide.

Matts please sing a new tune. Goaltending was not an issue tonight (for the Oilers at least) and the one goal that was scored against him went off a skate.

I know this is/was a popular topic on Oilfans, but please we all know he hasn't played well.

But tonight goaltending was not the story at all and whether he has played good or bad, I still felt bad that a fluky goal was scored against him with 30 seconds left.

AND it is nice when this team actually plays well enough defensively to give ANY of their goalies an easy night.

Yeah Sakic

maybe you can talk about my father again or send me a barrage of PM's.

to anyone that doesn't understand my Salo deal, I've never seen anyone get a freer ride. when he was great, he was otherwordly. when he was good he was outstanding. when he was average he was team MVP.

when he was bad he it was someone else's fault. when he was awful he had to be hurt.

i felt bad for sauve, his defense hung him out to dry all night, on the other hand the oilers took advantage of that and well it fffffffffeeeeeellllllss good.

As glad and shocked as I am to see my team give the Avs a thorough pistolwhipping in front of their spoiled rotten fans, all this really does is make up for the Nashville loss.

They need to give it their all coming up against Det and Van...lose those and this game means nothing.

But if I may mark out for a second...

Jarret Stoll: 2 assists, +2, 80% faceoffs (16 of 20), 21 years old.

Who the heck is your father? What are you talking about? And I have never sent you a PM?

I think everybody knows about Salo's bad play. It has been talked about Ad nauseam.

we're not talking about Illya or Markus back there sniping. I love Igor but when he's ripping off seeing eye dogs like that, it's luck.

If Sakic is doing it, it's skill

Both of the Avs' worse losses of the season have come against the Oilers.

6-3 loss @ EDM
5-1 win vs EDM

Matts, you have brought up your father at least 10 times on public boards. Once, in a private message, I said that I didn't beleive YOUR story. It was a comment about YOU. You are truly delusional.
