I'm thinking that Nashville will make the playoffs this year and most likely push LA out of the picture (sorry guys, but those injuries are just hideous!).
My prediction for the playoff seeds would be:

East:
1. Ottawa
2. New Jersey
3. Tampa Bay
4. Philly
5. Boston
6. Toronto
7. Buffalo
8. Montreal

West:
1. Colorado
2. Detroit
3. San Jose
4. Vancouver
5. St. Louis
6. Calgary
7. Dallas
6. Nashville

Other predictions: One of the bottom three seeds in the West will make it to the Conference Finals again (but won't win).
Toronto will make it to the East Conference Finals (if Belfour comes back).

Alright....so we've had two fanboy picks, and the other 10 or so predictions have Colorado drinking from the Stanley Cup in June.

Interesting, very interesting.

Have we seen the end of defensive teams winning championships (besides Detroit)?

I don't know. As talented as they are, I don't think they make it that far this year.

Detroit in six over Ottawa.

I'm not going to write out a big thing, but a few things to note regarding the Eastern Conference:

The Flyers are going to get the best of the Leafs should they meet. For whatever reason, their style absolutely crushes the Leafs. I also belief that if the Leafs face the Devils or anyone else other than the Senators, they'll continue to move on. The only team I feel can beat any other team in a series is Ottawa, simply because they're just too stacked this year and imo they should've gone to the finals last year. They can beat NJ, they can be PHI, and when healthy they can beat T.O.

I predict an Ottawa vs. Dallas (yes, Dallas) final with Ottawa taking it 4-2.

Umm NJ & Phily can't be # 2 and # 3, same division. Tampa may have the fewest points of the teams in the east, but they get the 3rd seed by winning the division

I;m suprised to see a bunch of people that think the Isles will miss it. They have 2 regulation losses in their last 16 games and are getting 2 of their better players back from injury with the next 2 weeks or so.

I'm sure you said the same thing when you met Buffalo and Carolina in the ECF.

Everyone knows T.O. can't last for the whole playoffs without losing half their team to injuries. That's a given.

Leaf injury predictions this post-season:

Belfour - back
Roberts - shoulder
Reichel - flu
Renberg - groin
Niewendyk - back
Mogilny - back
