I sure hope he does. I have Staal's #14 from his second season in Sudbury. The boy puts some serious wear on his jerseys.

He wore #22 in Owen Sound and Brampton. Of course, that would make 3 Rangers with #22.

Sanguinetti wore #21 when he first came to Hartford during the 2006-07 season, but during that season #22 had been issued to Thomas Pock.

At the conclusion of the 2007-08 season, Sanguinetti wore #20, as Josh Gratton was wearing #21 and Francis Lessard was #22.

And to everyone who is saying that Rissmiller is going to be #34 because you can buy his jersey from the NHL Shop and he's listed as #34... that doesn't mean anything. Basically what happens is they switch the player from their old team to their new team, in this case, San Jose to New York, but they don't change the player's number.

For example, right now you can buy a Flames jersey, and Todd Bertuzzi and Jim Vandermeer are both listed as #4.

And don't be so sure that Korpikoski is going to keep #22... he's changed his number multiple times.

When he first came to Hartford in 05-06 at the end of the season he was #45. Then he switched to #24 during the same season. In 06-07 he was #44, then in 07-08 he wore #28.

personally i think 46 is an ugly number, reminds me of rich pilon and his horrible choice for numbers as well

I wouldn't lock in anyone who was a late call up/trade yet.

Redden is up on the Rangers site as number 6....no surprise there.

In my post with all the numbers, I wasn't locking anyone in. I was just going by what was posted and what we already know (Rosey and Valley are obviously not changing numbers). We will see what happens. Girardi was #46 until about 10 days before the season last year before he, Cally and Staal changed their numbers.

Agreed. Maybe we're just naive, but seems like he could have been a player.

I liked Immonen too, thought he looked good out there, than again, there's probably a reason why I'm not a scout.

if immonen was too slow for the NHL then what was Malik or Struds, i doubt they were faster than Immonen. i know they are defenseman.

I meant it more as a warning to potential jersey buyers.

Bobby Sanguinetti wore number 24 in Brampton, can't remember Owen Sound

Already been said earlier in the thread, it's a rare picture of Jarkko Immonen playing for the Rangers.

Brampton's jerseys are gorgeous. Both the OD and white are two of my favorites. Maybe if Staal switches to 14, Naslund would take 18. And maybe we can decide what number Rissmiller and Voros will wear (both wore 34) by which one actually makes the team.

He skated like he was in quicksand...not quite the movement this team is looking for.

That's what we know so far as per the Rangers website and common sense... waiting on Naslund (#91?), Kalinin (45), and Jamtin (?)

I was at the NHL store in Manhattan today and they had #6 Redden and #91 Naslund Rangers jerseys. Of course that means nothing officially, but those numbers seem to be the safe bet for those two guys right now.

Really? That is something. I think that does mean something, they can't just sell something without reason I guess.

In NHL 08, Jamtin wears 51.
