OT- Oilers In-Game Music

It has to be the worst in the league. I understand that everyone has their own tastes, but who picks this crap?

The new DJ is a lot better than the previous one. The previous DJ was absolutely atrocious and played music that should not belong in a hockey game.

I remember either last year or two years ago, there was a streak of 7 or 8 games where I heard some Linkin Park or Green Day song during every other whistle.

I think that was two years ago. It was absolutely atrocious We don't need that garbage in Rexall!

Interestingly, I hated the last three opening songs (Pump It, Vertigo, that Buckcherry song or whatever). Terrible.

Didn't djdragon also get into a bit of a trouble playing some special tunes for Comrie last year? Ha Mike was apparently steamed. What the hell was the name of that song by Hillary again?

Was it 'So Yesterday'? I'm reading through wiki trying to figure it out.

Our music was very strong last year - leaps and bounds better than the year before, hell, better than anything before.

djdragon's thread

the thread that preceded it...

Right that's the one! A re-make of those 80's girls "the Bangals" or something. Thank you.

I wonder if the Duff sisters realize that the song had lesbian-tease subtext? Which makes that incest-tease, actually. Never mind.... I don't really wonder, I just like making fun of the fact that they had no idea.

They aren't paid to think about what the lyrics mean that they are singing. They are paid to sing them.

I have never came out of a game thinking the in-game music was either good or bad. Though some of the intros I have not liked.

Playing Kid Rock after every goal last year was a joke.

I never pay a ton of attention to the music either, sure it's there and its nice if it gets you pumped up but you are never going to please everybody. If you don't like it have another drink and I'm sure you'll enjoy it just fine

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the player's have a lot of say in what songs get played during the game.
