Edmonton @ Colorado

Another playoff like matchup given that the Oilers are very desperate for wins. Should be a great game.

Sauve's on a hot streak, stick him in.

Seriously though, I think Aebischer will be in this game no doubt.

An incredibly weak, uninspiring period on COL's part.

Sauve, made a bad decision (to stand up) and it cost the Avs.

That's just simple goaltending.

A guy is on a pathetic angle, so instead of committing yourself or even opening up, you make sure your angles are covered and let the puck hit you or miss the net. Instead, Phillipe lifts his stick or tries to direct the puck outwards with his stick and it eludes him into the net.

Also, really dumb penalty by Peter Worrell. Surely his night is done.

And what is up with these lines?

Paul Kariya with Chris McAllister and Jim Cummins? Steve Konowalchuk with Peter Worrell and Milan Hejduk? Steve Moore centering Alex Tanguay and Cody McCormick? Teemu Selanne consistently playing with scrubs?

Geez, wake up Tony.

Edmonton goes up 2-0.....a little bout between Worrell and Laraque....I'd call it a draw.

Ulanov scores to make it 2-0 Edmonton and Worrell and Laraque scrap at center ice, sounded like Laraque won the fight.

Keep Phillipe Sauve on the *****ing bench.

Awful goaltending. Just brutal.

And then he slashes Steve Staios in the leg after the third one? Slash YOURSELF in the head next time, please Phillipe.

Aebischer is in...Sauve out.

The Avs look like crap. Doesn't help that they only have 17 healthy skaters....plus Morris left the ice.

Hopefully this game forces PL to deal for a veteran backup.

4-0 Skoula directs one into the net

Cummins and Jason Smith fight, Cummins loses, but Smith bleeds and heads to the locker room.

I think the Avs only have seven shots on goal. An absolutely pathetic effort. I'm shocked considering the outcome of the Vancouver game. The Avs look like they don't care.

this is garbage. watch out guys....im ready to implode. i have never been so disgusted with this team in such a long time. the kings compete hard without their star players. the nux won the last game without nazzy. but colorado can't win with sakic, tanguay, morris, kariya and co. this loss wasn't sauve's fault. in addition to the player's lacking effort, granato's with his poor line match ups have costed this team dearly. what a stupid effort put forth by this team. absolutely horrible. are these professional hockey players for friggin real!?

oh btw, im watching the weather news, and there's a major stenchy smell coming from denver after it left pittsburgh. no one currently knows how long it'll stay.

**** i know playing pro hockey is extremely difficult, but its just not acceptable to quit like that.

Granato put Sauve in to start the third period. I want to see a gritty effort these last 20 minutes even if Colorado can't make a miracle comeback. At least have a positive period going into the Dallas game on Friday night.

So much for that gritty effort in the third period. Man when these boys want to stink up the joint...they can flush out a room
