I know is not Montreal related bu Chicago Blackhawks have traded forward Alexei Zhamnov to the Flyers in exchange for Jim Vandermeer. Draft picks are also involved in the deal.

Clarke might the only GM in the league who's ALWAYS on panic mode. The guy should be fired, he's terrible. With the scouting crew he has he should've won a cup a long time ago but he has no clue how to build a real team.

Honestly, I'm not a big Zhamnov fan, and he's definitely not the type of player HABS needs. Other opinions?

I like him. He doesn't doddle around, giving a crap what people think. He has a hole to fill, he does it. He see's a need, he tries to get it. He's always focused on winning, and improving the team.

Some of his moves may backfire, but his drafting is usually top notch and he tends to assemble competetive teams in the process.

I like aggressive GM's, who take the odd chance along the way.

Zhamnov a flyer!

Wow, the whole blackhawk crew is reunited. Ronick, Zhamnov, and Amonte.

Bobby, bobby, bobby!

They're really going all out aren't they? They'd better win the cup soon, or they're screwed...

Ok the guy just traded two potential top defenceman for a good goalie and a forward. Plus all the picks involved. I kinda hope they win the cup, but I hope they don't. I mean poor guy is going all the way out to get veteran that will make his team competitive, but I just hate the way he does it.

Like I said I am not huge fan of Alexei but I am happy he has a chance to play for Cup contender. I know Vancouver was also looking to get him but Chicago wanted Roots in exchange.
