Jim Hulton new assistant coach?

Just saw this:

http://www.thewhig.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1106122

Kinda dumbfounded NOT ONE of the Big Three newspapers down here has decided to report on this yet, if true, as it appears to be. Can't find anything else out so far.

I don't believe Pierre was our video coach at all last year.

sadly, this is not unexpected this team will have to win a few championships before it has a chance of being taken seriously by fans/media in that area. having said that, it IS a bit surprising they've been scooped by ... The Kingston Whig-Standard!!! holy uknowhat. that is funny.

nice story though. probably better written with more insight and expertise than anyone in sofla could offer. so maybe we're better off. heck, as much as we love GR, the papers down there should pull a page out of the panthers play book and hire one of these guys to come down and kick start their coverage. this is a great piece. i'd love to see this type of coverage down there.

uh oh, this is going to worry some:

Quote:
"This is a young, up-and-coming team with a nucleus of good young talent such as Nathan Horton, Anthony Stewart, Stephen Weiss and [Kingston native] Bryan Allen," he said. "And landing [goalie Thomas] Vokoun in net was a great move."
but not me

seriously, though - any weight given to the fact that jay is mentioned not in that nucleus? he must know that's a precarious (if not hopeless) situation.

Anyone else notice that Hulton didn't mention Jay among the nucleus? I'm sure it's nothing, but maybe Jacques has let Peter know that he may not have a certain #1 D by the time camp comes.

give it a rest. he doesn't suck. he may not turn out to be an nhl player but there's a reason this guy (who knows a heck of a lot more than you do) put him in that list.

While I can understand tip-toeing around JayBo, I'm a bit irked that he'd list Stewart as part of this nucleus and neglected to mention Olesz at all.

Well if this is indeed true, I'm not upset at all that he'll only have to focus on the goaltenders this year.

Yeah, it's better to split up those duties.
