Ranger Tickets

I was just wondering, is it disgustingly hard to get your hands on Ranger tickets? What would it cost me per ticket to go to the Avs/Rangers game on Saturday, February 28 say...near the front of an upper deck?

I am originally from Vancouver Island so I know what it's like to live in a place where NHL tickets are impossible to get (Canucks), but I recently moved to Ottawa for school and in Ottawa you can basically walk up to the door and buy tickets at game time. And no, the Avs are not coming to Ottawa this season, so New York is my next closest option!

Thanks for any help!

You won't get them through Ticketmaster.

Your best bet would be through Stubhub or the Rangers TicketExchange program (on their webstite).

Your cheapest option, however, would be to get them from fans here or on other boards.

(Even cheaper still would be to scalp the tickets day-of... just don't do it within 1000 ft of the Garden.) (Is it still 1000 feet? Or did that rule change too?)

StubHub.com is a great place to get them for cheap. There are scalpers in front of MSG before gametime, but I wouldn' trust them. There is no big rivalry between the two teams so they would cost you maximum around $50. I got some tickets for $35 each(center, 400 section) one day before game day against some Western Conference teams in the past.

Getting them from fans on here or from craigslist is probably the best bang for your buck.

Dilema

I have 2 season tix in Section 326 (3rd row)

I haave my brother & his wife in town that week and would love to take them to the home opener.

What I need: 3 seats together for the home opener

What I can exchange: my 2 seats for the home opener and both seats for another desirable home game

Also open to listening to other ideas

Please help before I have to scalp my seats and overpay for 3 others

Get from here or Stubhub. it may be a little over market value though on Stubhub.

I'll be interested in buying a pair of tickets to the Jan 20th Ducks game at MSG. Attempt to rehash what my roomie and I did last year (he's a ducks fan from cali).

Looking for 2-4 tickets for the home opener, and the October Friday night game vs the Leafs. Can pay via paypal ASAP. Let me know what you got. I prefer seats in the 300's, unless you want to be reasonable in price for anything closer. I have money to burn

I will be compiling a list soon of all the games I'm looking for, but for right now these two are definite.

With the increase in ticket prices, I may begin selling at ticketmaster rates (which are usually $10 marked up), sorry about it, but we have to recoup for these rises in price.

Any section is fine.

Many on this board have season tickets (myself included) and I am confused why you need to mark them up? Recoup what?! If you sell for face you recoup exactly what you gave. If you want to sell tickets above face, feel free. There are many sites available for that. I thought we sold them here, for face, for other fans. Not to make $$

For a long time I never agreed with selling tickets at marked up prices, in fact I sold them at well below face value many times here but 2 seasons later, I understand his sentiments and frankly it's none of your business at what price he choses to offer his tickets for.

It's quite simple. If I went to 17 games last year and it cost $782, if I want to spend that exact amount of money this year I can only go to 15 games. If I want to go to 17 games I have to make up the money somewhere. Ticketmaster marks up tickets by $10 to $20, if I markup $5 or $10 I'm still selling for less than individual prices to a soldout game and making back some money so that I can go to more games if I choose. Go and find Yankees tickets for the rest of the season, on weekends it costs $60 for bleachers against the Royals, which go for $14 normally. That's a disgusting markup, not $5 or $10. I know it's the home stretch and it's the last season in the stadium, but wow.

Does anyone know when waitlist members will be contacted? I'm expecting to be offered tickets this year.

When and if I do get seats, (they will likely be the 300 or 400 series) I am looking to sell both opening night versus the Blackhawks and Graves night!

My email: NYRangers424@msn.com (Please contact only through email)

I called them and they said sometime in August, I'm on that waitlist to and hope to have tickets for this year as well.
