My adult side says that you should put a downpayment on a house.
But my kid side says "BUY THE DAMN GUITAR!".

Sorry to hear that, Jaydee, but you guys did manage to force a game 3.
Enjoy the rest of your stay in Halifax!

Hey Chezzy, I'll buy you that guitar if you promise not to ask where the money came from.

Oh that's awesome Fido, I just have one concern. You're not going to come back with one of those funny accents are you?

Have a great trip my friend, I look forward to hearing the details.

You mean those lovely east London cockney accents

I lived and studied there, never picked up the accent (although I didn't hear it anymore....funny thing the accent disapeared when I heard it).

I'll just be going to visit some old friends and the gf had never been. Should be cool.

Ana, do you want Prince William wrapped or unwrapped?

Going to miss the minute by minute action on the Sundin thread. Hopefully he's a Hab when I return.

Two words. Let me let you guess. The first one starts with an F and finishes with a K. The second starts with a Y and finishes with a U.

Just Kidding... We will miss you

Have Fun!!!

Sounds like it's going to be a fun trip. I've actually never been to England, so I'll have to put it on my things to do before I croak list.

As for the cockney accents, I've only heard it in local pubs here. Usually coming from the mouths of big, toothless guys, so I'll have to take your word on the "lovely" part.

How long are you going to be away?

A quick 9 days. As for the local pub brutes, yeah that's a big part of England. North Americans expect them all to be proper English gentleman and are quite shocked to see a large chunck of the general population. Basically just like anywhere else, except with way more drunks puking on the streets and fighting at 11pm when pubs close than anywhere else in the world. But mind you, I was a student and so pretty much lived in pubs. Will be nice to see it from an "adult"() perspective.

Stay away from those areas of town. A dog could get himself infected with something.

9 days sounds about perfect, not too long, not too short. Kind of like my Johnson

I actually love the english pubs I've been to here. So I'm guessing having the chance to actually go to one in England would be a blast. It's always fun going back and visiting places you frequented in your youth. For me personally, I seem to revert back to my younger ways when I do. Which might not be a good idea since you have the g/f coming along.
