How are guys like Zharkov, Halischuk, Snetsinge, and Swift gonna get playing time in Lowell? In NHL 08, I traded/signed for all the new guys the Lowell signed (Disalvatore/Wiseman/Federov/etc) and I have a full roster with players who are all signed for next year (granted two of Pelley, Vrana, Federov, and Bergfors could be with the big club next year). Thats not too mention guys who arent in the game like Mondou, Letourneau-Leblond, Burton, Pandolfo's brother, Mills, etc. Some of these guys could end up in Trenton, but I think Lowell is going to have an overloaded roster similar to last year. Could someone with more knowledge inform me on the situation?

Quite a few will play in Trenton. That has to be good; the last couple of seasons too many ECHL players (due to skills or experience) were playing for Lowell. If we could get to the situation where 25 of our signed prospects would be best suited to playing at the AHL level rather than the 10 or so of recent years there would start to be competition for places and the prospect of a winning team.
I hope we see quite a bit of movement between the two levels and not because more warm bodies are needed in Lowell.
However, I'm not sure if some players have contracts stating they will not be required to play for Trenton in any circumstances. I hope not, as the threat/reward of moving between the two leagues must be an incentive (at least for those guys in their early twenties).

Im pretty sure that Ruggeri has a contract that prohibits him from being sent to Trenton. Also Mike Pandolfo does not have a contract, and Mark will pretty much be in Trenton if he still has a contract.
He should be in free agents. If your already in franchise mode he may have been signed by another team.
By the way I just looked up his old teams and the team he was on last year has one of the best names ever. The Wolfsburg Grizzly Adams. Second only to the Macon Whoopi (some Juniors team in GA)

Ruggeri's one-way will pay him his AHL salary even if he's sent to Trenton. He will do nothing but pout if he's sent down we saw it for 2 seasons when he was contracted with the Flyers. His rookie year he was solid probably realizing there wasn't much of a chance of him being called up with the lockout going on. But years 2 and 3 he wasn't interested in playing here and it showed.
Lowell should market the the home opener like never before and try to hook the market up there.
Give away a few cars or free gas for 5 years to a select few.
They need to generate a buzz up in Northern Mass. The team should be better.
Was he hurt most of the year last year? He hardly played it seems like.
Yes he was. I think alot of people on here are confusing him with Mike Pandolfo....Who isnt the best AHLer there is. Mark had alot of upside, and played pretty well for Trenton.

Yeah, but we need to stop stocking Lowell with players just because they are related to players. Stephen Gionta is alright, and Jordan Parise when he's healthy is fine as well. I guess what I'm trying to say is no more Pandolfo family, and more homegrown players like Halischuk and Zharkov, which we seem to be getting this year.
