Fan Favorite?

Which one of the new Jackets do you think will become one of the fan favorites?

Commodore.

I see Tyutin being booed mercilessly if he doesn't perform, while Zherdev tears it up.

I dunno about how Tyutin will be treated, but I see Commodore being a big hit, especially after he does a few more press conferences.

I would definitely see Umberger as the big fan favorite in an all OSU town.

Commodore for sure, especially if he rocks a CBJ bathroom robe.

I can see a lot of people taking to Huselius, guys who can dangle really adhere themselves to fans, and with Z gone, Kristian is the new "get-people's-butts-out-of-the-seats" player.

I see everyone but Backman being liked, he isn't very good. Umberger is the ohio st product and will be playing with Nash. Huselius for his play making ability. Torres for his aggressiveness and high energy. Commodore because he looks like a convict version of Ronald McDonald. Tyutin you will be hearing the Tyuuuuuuuu just like Luke Richardsons Luuuuuuuuu. And of course Voracek because he is a huge piece of the future of the franchise. Backman just doesn't do it for me, I don't see him sticking here for long

Max Mayorov will capture the jilted-Zher-fan vote, and deservedly so.
Nikita is the new boy-toy for swooning female fans left at the altar by Hollywood.
Commodore for those still smarting over Jody.

Hard to say. They all have possibilities.

I'm most looking forward to Filatov, when he finally hits the big club, despite the fact that he's a flight risk, being Russian.

I agree with Macster about Huselius. I also hope watching pure skill isn't the only thing, for once, that makes us get out of our seats. Could we add some more wins to the column, pretty please? Maybe even a few two-on-ones? Someone other than Boll fighting? GOALS?

Ahem

For the non-hardcore Hockey fan (myself included) Commodore.....

I have heard from a couple of other 'non-hardcore' fans that he has the possibility to replace Jody "hallowed be thyne name" Shelley in the casual fans hearts around here.

Umberger will hopefully replace Fritsche as the 'buckeye' guy. Now that we have a true "Buckeye guy' on the team we may actually get some respect from the OSU forever types - but probably not.

Who the hardcore types will embrace...hell if I know, I'm not one of them.

Everyone is going to love Commodore. He's going to layout some big hits, start some fights, and have some great interviews. Great for the casual fan.

I also think R.J. Umberger is going to be a favorite. He's the closest thing we've ever had to a center entering his prime and he also played for OSU. I've been a fan of his for sometime now already so I can't wait to see him out there.
