How do I meet the NYR's?

My wife and I would really like to meet some of the Rangers, maybe get some autographs and pics. Im just wondering were can we go to see some of the guys without bothering them. Ive seen on some peoples myspace that they've meet like the whole team! I assume you can get a glimps when they enter MSG before a game.

Anyway, any suggestions would be great.

Stalk them.

Before and after games would probably be best, or get lucky and meet them in a bar post game.

Supposedly if you hang around the Garden entrance the afternoon of a night home game, your bound to see a bunch of players.

Just go to a game during the season and wait outsid the garden. Just look for the other fans, they know where they come out lol. Thats what I do. I have met Kovalev, Leetch, Dvorak, Graves, Nedved, Holik, Lundmark, Richter, Kasperiatis, Nemchinov, Mike York, Glen Healey, Sam Rosen, Al Trautwig, and many many more over the years just hangin outside after a game. The players are usually very cool about it, except for Holik one time signed for everyone except my wife, who proceeded to follow him down the ramp across the street to his car in the lot lol. She kept following him saying you forgot me lol. He looked a bit scared at first but he signed it for her right by his car.

Another time Richter was coming out in the lot and had a cab waiting for him and his lady friend. Some kid who was a HUGE Richter fan started running right at Mike the second he saw him. Too bad Ricky didn't see the kid and opened the car door for his woman, while at the same time you just hear THUD. Bang kid on the groud lol. Anyhow the kid started crying and of course the father was pissed. Mike went to help the kid up but seen a small angry crowd so he just hopped in the cab and took off. Lets just say that night when Glen Healey walked out (wearing his 94 cup ring which is friggin awesome!) He was met by a lot of happy fans telling him what an ******* Richter was.

Just hang out after the game, sometimes cool funny things happen.

If you really just want to meet them, take some pictures and talk a little, I'd suggest going to the Casino night over standing outside MSG and hoping they walk that way/are in the mood/etc.

I'm pretty certain you can't get autographs and you have to pay/dress appropriately for Casino night, but I know a couple people who have gone to them in the past and said it's great if you really just want to meet them/etc, especially since it's for charity as well and most players are usually a bit more open then rather then after a game.

Just wait at the various Garden entrances a few hours before the game. I've met everyone except Gomer and Rozy.

The only problem i had with waiting before the games is that a lot of the people outside waiting for the players are people looking to sell the autographs. They sprint back and forth when they would see dru, lundy, jagr, ect. TJust watch out for these people cause they're savages

I would die to meet the Rangers. I wish they would come up to Glens Falls to have another practice. Last time they did that (two years ago) my parents wouldnt take me If they ever do it again I'm running out of school and if i cant get a ride i'll run there (even though it make take some time. 45minuts by car=? time in running).

I did get to see the 94 team at a practice when I was two years old, I dont remember it but it was cool! I saw pictures and video and everything of me there!

They come out of the parking entrance after games sometimes to sign autos.

Casino night is your best bet though, costs some but you get to hangout and talk hockey without them being in a rush to get away.

You can get autographs, but I wouldn't go nuts trying to get them all. I've been to casino night 4 or 5 times and I think the only autograph I ever got was from Graves last year. Then again, I'm not big into getting autographs.

It's definitely the best way to meet the players that I've found, but it is costly. The cheapest tickets are up to $500 now. I'll probably stop going since I can't get anyone to go with me anymore.

i remember someone saying that there is a bar/lounge right near MSG that alot of the players go to after games, and that they met a ton of players by going there after games. The name escapes me, but i think it is like right across the street from MSG.

The best place is to go to a Rangers vs. Islanders game at the Mausoleum. I met the entire team 2 times last seasons waiting out side the VIP entrance/exit following the games. Most are more than willing to do autographs.

If you get to games early you'll see packs of fans at the various entrances. The players can come from all angles and use all entrances. It's unlikely you'll get a bunch on any day but you can ask some of the people around. Be careful though, some are d-bags and think they're better than everyone else. Just go, hang out and have fun.... I've had success the few times I've done it.

True. And also never ever believe the security guards. So many times I was in a crowd and they were like go away all of them left already then 20 mins later a few guys came out. The bar is around the corner near the entrance to Penn Station doors. This is also a great place since it's where the TV crews pack up and the road team bus also comes to pick up the other team (I met Kovalev, Koivu, and Hatcher that way).
