That's not going to get you close to Bouwmeester.

I should think not, with the cap space they still have.

I wouldn't mind having a Tampa 1st. But the Canucks only have 6 D-men signed right now...

If Bouw is traded, you actually think JM would trade him within the division. Come on now.

What do you mean "not done fixing their defense"? They never really were fixing their defense. Fixing means getting better.

With all due respect, if you're at this point now: Filip Kuba, Paul Ranger, Matt Carle, Alex Picard, Shane O'Brien, Mike Lundin and Andrew Hutchinson...I think it was just assumed that it's a work in progress.

Sydor + for Jussi Jokinen...I think JJ was a former linemate of Janne Pesonen, he could be a good addition to our team and Tampa doesn't seem all that high on him, but I could be wrong...

Jussi Jokinen is gold. Tampa would want more in return. Or even better, get rid of Halpern rather.

Halpern is injured long-term from the injury in the World Championships, is he not? Don't think he'll be going anywhere.

Halpern is supposed to be out for the first half, so he will not be moved.

It will be one or possibly all of the three forwards mentioned in the article. Oulett, Ward or Jokinen. I would think the first two would be the first out, due to inconsistency. I'm not sure either is worth much though, so they might have to deal Jokinen.

Hopefully Sydor will not be coming back. He sucks, and we've signed enough penguins recently.

So the total return for Richards may end up being Sydor and a goalie who will be backup for maybe 1 year until Ramo is ready?

(I have heard Halpern is totally done. I hope he does come back and play again.)

Jokinen doesn't have that good of value, Jokinen and a 3rd rounder for Bieska is a fair deal.

I love how you offer the same package for "Bieksa or Bouwmeester" that's like "I'll give you a 2nd for Smaby or Lecavalier".

Just saying I'd rather have Jokinen than Bieksa, therefore the pick's on the wrong side.

Of course, Tampa could be desperate for defense, so that's the deal we might see.

Wouldn't Bieksa have more value than Jokinen?

I fail to see how Jokinen would be more important to a team than Kevin Bieksa.

I suppose there's a bit of concern that Bieksa is a one year wonder and the injury last year is a bit scary, but Jokinen frankly hasn't shown himself to be anything more than a slightly below average 2nd line winger
